Crashing since last update today

Hi all,

My game is now constantly crashing playing saved games since today's update: on my most recent save it will crash after loading and then the "hit space to continue", my 2nd most recent save will load and then play for a minute or so, then crash.

Anyone seeing the same issue?

This is the exact same error that i can vind after the game crashes.
it has something to do with MICROSOFT VISUAL STUDIO 2015

I think i fixed it.
The file that give the error is: VCRUNTIME140.dll

Delete those runtime140.dll files from the directory (i had 2 files)
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2\win_x64\

And let steam vertify the game.
It will redownload the missing dll files.

Game runs fine for 20 minutes now.

I think i fixed it.
The file that give the error is: VCRUNTIME140.dll

And let steam vertify the game.
It will redownload the missing dll files.

Game runs fine for 20 minutes now.

This worked great and fixed it for me as well. Deleted both VCRuntime dll files and then checked the file integrity where it downloaded and now running stable again Thank You!

I bought and downloaded the game today and I have the same problem, as soon as I use the scope or binoculars and zoom in, it crashes.

You may have a look into your windows Event Viewer for more Info about that crash.
Open RUN (Win+R) and type : eventvwr.msc in RUN, this opens your Event Viewer
There expand Windows Logs and look under Application for warnings with a timestamp of that crash

I contacted CI Support and they said it only happens on certain configurations and they cannot reproduce it on any of their devices. they asked me to send a DxDiag file which I did. later they asked me to create a { .dmp } file using www.meziantou.net/tip-automatically-create-a-crash-dump-file on-error.htm. and then after reproducing the crash provide a dump file .dmp. I confess that this is all beyond my capabilities. Maybe someone on steam could go down that route and let us know the results.

Deleting VCRUNTIME140.dll as per Dark-Swarm did not work for me neither. Thanks for trying.

You can do this via reinstalling visuals or, via reinstalling Steam Common Redistributables. A dll is not a single discreet file, rather it has many chain of dependencies. If you still do this then it should be registered in the registry or, it might be coming from the registry itself. Reinstalling is the best option as it re-initiates all the processes, and re-registers your dll into the reg and replaces the corrupted one with a fresh one. Download it from steamworks, the game should be working by then if it was caused because of that dll alone.

Re-initiate all the things you can find inside this folder.

mines crashing when i use the scope, cant get anywhere, sent in a 6.5gig error file and got nowhere
