How to get pink meat?

I have to collect 10 white meat and 10 pink meat but all I get with fishing is white meat.

I only have the basic fishing pole and the quest marker is at an intermediate fishing rod required location but I don't see any way to upgrade the rod to a better one or an option to buy a better fishing rod.

Is this not implemented being alpha or demo or what am I missing.

Also got every upgrade from blacksmith and requires blacksmith upgrade though I don't see where to upgrade the blacksmith.

Again most of these things are probably due to being a demo or being in alpha so no problem if that's the case otherwise if this is not the case some help would be appreciated.

After every successful fishing you'll see a '+' , Keep fishing like 100 times , you will see the 'Max' , then a upgrade quest will be on the board. However don't try to upgrade from intermediate to ultimate , since the materials you need in iceberg which is not developed yet , i guess

someone mentioned , if rainy that you might able to get pink meat in first pool . The problem is to me , always sunny as fxkk

I just found out today. After your fishing rod got MAX status while you go fishing, you'll get a letter from Leano on the community board to give you an intermediate rod. After that you can go fishing on the river north of your house to get Mackarel, the pink meat.

BUT it looks like this activity is locked in demo version. I can't seem to fish any fishes while I have the intermediate rod and plenty of super worm.

correction 10 white and 5 pink. I can't believe I didn't catch that originally.

Just have to mention one more thing that is broken at the moment. When you go fishing in the intermediate section, you will need to use the hyper worms instead of the super worms even though the pictured bait is the super worm.

ok, i'm not gonna read the posts here for answers (because that would spoil my own expectations). But my guess is that you'll get a chance to upgrade your fishing rod once you have provided with enough white meat. And with a new rod you can go to another pond to catch the "pink meat".

/edit: oh, had no clue that the rod-upgrade is tied to a "hidden" quest that first appears when you almost empy the first fish pond

I don't know anything about emptying the fish pond.
there does seem to be a hidden fishing skill that you don't really see besides after catching a fish you see a fishing rod with a + next to it that eventually turns into ++ and then eventually "max" at the max stage is when you get the quest for the rod upgrade.

the second pod with the intermediate rod doesn't produce only pink meat you still get mostly white meat but sometimes get pink. I only had 5 bait the first time I used the intermediate rod and caught 4 white meat and 1 pink meat with it.

ok. thanks I'll check this out. I had the proper bait before I got the upgraded rod and it used the proper bait when I first started fishing but once I ran out and bought more bait it still didn't recognize I had the bait.
I'll buy the tier 3 bait and see if that allows me to fish again. thanks.
