I kind of hate the dog. Especially in the early game at least. Feels frustrating trying to feed him when your food options are already so limited. I assume nothing bad comes from not feeding him, but it's really depressing to keep seeing the "feed me" bubble popping up.

Does the dog even do anything?
I haven't seen him attacking the enemies or helping me with harvesting anything.

It seems like once you've reached a certain level of friendship you can ask them to sniff out (locate) a specific NPC in the town, which can be very useful for quest. (but it doesn't seem to be available in the demo)

yeah i agree with you. if they were going to add this, they should have added a 'dog food' item at the store for like 40 coins or something. solves that problem real fast.

Dog sniffs out ginger after first level up. You can literally feed him anything too. It's not like y'all are using all those mushrooms or honey anyway... Feels like a complain by someone who didn't play much of the game tbh
My only issue with the dog is that it take like a week to level him up
