I actually wouldnt mind but i'm trying to date Leano. Which i simply cant cause i need a certain fish which ofc requieres max lvl fishing rod to catch.
Same problem.
6 Hours as in real-time? How many fish even is that, like 150-200? 50 fish for the first rod upgrade was already ridiculous, it's like 2 solid in-game days of JUST fishing. At least the tool upgrades let you collect other stuff, the fish meat is mostly useless besides the weekly quest.
I do believe it was more than 200, problem is that the game doesn't give you any way to know if a fish in the 2nd spot is worth more than the ones in the park and I spent my time going from one spot to the other to save some money on baits.
Oh, and yes, 6 real life hours. I spent an entire day on discord with a friend fishing and complaining about the fact they get stuck on the floaters all the time. It was a miserable experience. Oh and Leano's date is bugged and you don't get the achievement as well, so there's that lol
For the date thing, If you are talking about the "Date an NPC" achievement. Try to go out on a date with the person after you already dated them that day. That is what worked for me
