Fix: Controller issues

Hello everyone,

While we are still working on patching controller issues (Dualshock and XB controllers) we have found a temporary fix for now. Please follow the following steps:

In the Steam application go to -> View -> Settings -> Controller -> General Controller Settings

1. Uncheck configuration support (for the controller you are using)
2. Unplug your controller
3. Restart Steam
4. Wait until Steam is running, then plug in your controller
5. Launch Potion Permit

We hope that this has helped those of you who have had issues and are able to play Potion Permit comfortably. Please let us know if you continue to have controller issues.

while ur at it fix keybindings for keyboard and mouse let me bind stuff on my mouse buttons and numbers ( and for some reason i cant bind stuff to F).

Thats was the worst part for me that the F button was not available to remap. It is not even used...

my xbox type controlller doesn't work for me either, I performed the above procedure but nothing, I hope it will be resolved soon

Keybindings are really bad. Why would you configure it like that?

This worked for neither my Xbox controller nor my Nintendo Classic Controller. They both are recognized by Steam and can be used by other games. It's kinda wild I can't play this with a mouse and keyboard, keyboard only is really not super functional. Hope y'all fix it soon, I've been really excited to play this and planned to spend today doing so.

Results may vary for people, but I used my Dualshock 4 via DS4Windows on this game with zero issues, and everything working in-game like I expected it would. (Didn't even realize there were controller support problems until I saw this thread.)

It is weird that not even xpadder is working. Is the game working with hardware scan codes or something? Are you aware there are great pluggins for unity which are well tested with many controllers? You are supposed to use a game engine to make your work easier :D

Dunno what these controller issues should be, I just had one specific issue myself.
If my controller isn't working right away after starting the game I just unplug it, wait 1-3 seconds plug it in again and it works fine.
