Wish all dlc were included on the game, feels silly to pay full price to have some "cosmetic" taken outside the game to be charged extra. Wish no1 ever pays for these stupid dlc so they try to make the game the best it can be.
But i will defend and even support you if you prefer to wait for a discount.
Hope that helped
On the downside, if you wanted better things in the game as DLC, i dont think its gonna be anything els then just cosmetic.
Ignore the cosmetic dlcs, there are just to decorate the room you goin in to sleep / save... they dont have any more impact on the game...
But just saying, i seen quite few examples this way...and get their one-way ticket towards southern town, sadly
Seriously this is an "indie game" and already has more absurd MTs than most AAA games ...
Sorry but this DLC madness is ruining gaming - DLCs get more absurd every day - i mean seriously 2 Dollars for 2d Graphics in a game that probably is also about individualization of your home etc.
Almost no content DLC at release that costs even more than the game itself - i mean just think about what the game would cost with the DLC pricing?
Also what to expect from a DEV like this? From my point of view DLC like this probably indicates that we wont get big free updates or even big content packs when a 2D clock is beeing sold for 2 Dollars ...
Yeah but do i really expect good value addons etc. when they already sell a 2d Clock for 2 dollars at release? I dont.
Also i dont think the game is worth it - i mean seriously steam PC release but not even mouse support - or is that just the demo?
Even Oblivion's horse armour DLC had a functional purpose. I would feel much better about the DLC if it added new NPCs, locations, potions, materials, or literally anything else that adds to the game. It would still be gross having so much day 1 DLC, but at least it would have some actual value.
So they will possibly never know whether the DLC purchases they received made up the loss of sales of the basegame because they had them.
As its a dark figure of how many dropped off because of the DLCs, theres no hard data.
Theoretically one DLC pack purchase is roughly worth as much as one person buying the game.
So if we take an example, if they lost 2000 people to the fact that they dropped 18 DLCs at release, then thats roughly 40000€ of missed sales for the basegame.
So they needed to sell as many Deluxe Editions to make up for such a loss. Roughly.
And 2000 is a pretty conservative estimate here, considering how gigantic the Steam Community and the pool of potential customers is (90 Million+?).
Im pretty sure there were at least 2000 people dropping because of the DLC at the store page.
If they now have the figures of how many DLC Packs they sold, they can make a rough estimate and i say it potentially wasnt worth it.
I could be wrong though, because people are generally stupid and irresponsible and drop money for digital items like crazy.
