How to save?

Thanks I was nervous quitting because it isnt mentioned anywhere that it saves on sleep.

Honestly, this happened three times in about 5 hours total... The only similarity for me was that it seems to be connected to the starting of a dialog. This renders the game pretty much unplayable for me :(

Yikes, that's not good. What are your pc specs? I wonder if there might be a specific operating system, graphics card, etc., that is causing the cut-scene crashes.

Intel® Core™ i7-11800H Processor (4,6 GHz), Octa-Core
16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD
NVIDIA GeForce RTX3070 (8192 MB), ...
... oh and Win 11 unfortunatly.

It's not combined with cutscenes but simple casual talks which freeze and crash the game. Furthermore it's not reproducable as well (talking to same NPC won't trigger it again). It's a real bummer, any suggestions are very much welcome.

I thought the icon with the inkpen and the book meant it was saving each time you loaded out from a building/cutscene etc...
I didnt know you had to sleep and lost a progress on my save. Why do they have an icon that seems to represent autosaving when it doesnt work that way? Or am I missing out on something? ^^'

Yeah, I had to come to the forums to look up "how do I save" before I was willing to risk quitting out. The game needs a statement on how saving works, by the time you get control on day 1.

There is a neat mod for quicksaving on Nexus Mods.
First copy this to your game location to enable mods:

then the quicksave mod:
