-all spritework was remade, everything has much more detail and fluid animation work
-new unique event bosses
-whole new suite of items added to the game, including artifacts
-more secrets to find out in the world that give you cool stuff like skins
-new characters, like Pilot & Drifter, and returning old character, Artificer
-most characters have 4 new abilities added to them, some more, some less
-tweak the game to play how you want settings (dmg taken, dmg done, if you want RoR1 classic items and mechanics only or remake)
-providence trials which are basically minigames you can aim for high scores in
$15 is actually a steal for how much this remaster is. It's only $5 more than the original for a complete remastering of the game that is superior in every way. Depending on where you work, that's a single hour of pay, in exchange for hundreds of hours of replay time.
Besides obvious visual changes and different engine, remake provide bunch of content additions and QoL features. Also multiplayer now works just great.
Also, dont forget that original RoR has no artifacts and all characters on release date and we don't know about plans about remake support.
minor spelling mistake, argument invalidated + added to international loser list
seriously though, maybe you should ask someone who's actually played rorr and ror1 for their opinion on it... rorr has much nicer controls, new characters+abilities, the providence trials, non-godawful multiplayer, etc. I think rorr is worth $25, and I only payed $15
Now? Well I haven't been able to get the FPS dip below 60 yet and I've done 2-3 hour long runs.
The amount they ask for isn't even much. There are far worse remasters out there that cost more that have done far less.
But I’m not sure how they want to Implement mod support with game maker engine without sharing scripts. The undertalemodtool needs sources for original script if you want to tweak game rules in data.win file.
Obviously you has no clue about work and effort.
You should just ignore game and go over, but you post your very important opinion here and pretend to be mature. Try better.
But $15 for a video game that provides dozens of hours of entertainment? Sudden blasphemy, shame on all those greedy developers. Yeah, I get it, you're looking for differences between this and the original-- but most people are going to tell you that enough is there to keep you busy for an amount of time that's worth $15.
Don't know what to tell you, man. I played the heck out of the first game and am having a great time with Returns with 70 hours already. If you still have a hankering for RoR gameplay, I feel like the upgrade is worth it. Trials will keep you busy for a while, there are new characters to play and master and lots of new items, enemies, stage features and gameplay tweaks to mix up the formula, and there are enough alternate abilities to make old characters feel fresh. There are also a lot of customization options to make the game play to your liking. Calling it a "slightly better paint job" is a disservice. But it's your money.
