Did you unlock the Origin Artifact? If so how?
Genuinely curious, because it just feels like RNG on what enemy type you roll for that stage. Any flying enemy feels like an instant run kill. Teleporter spawning on a small platform on ice biome with horde of overloading enemies? Run kill. This is aside from the fact that the spite bombs are super inconsistent with some blowing up after one bounce, with others chasing you for like 5 bounces first then blowing up.

If anyone has done it I'd like to hear what strats you had for it, if you had any at all except for luck. It feels exceptionally painful in this game too as opposed to other RoRs because at least your items were permanent in the others, a few minutes and your build is gone depending on your sacrifice RNG.

according to this video tempus was not necessary for this, (not that it will make anything easier) https://youtu.be/OOFZiwT1aSU

Restart until you get regular Lemurians on stage 1 and farm items.
For whites, you want to prioritize crowbars and mochas. Maybe few back-up magazines depending on the character. Crowbars especially are really important due to Spirit, since you do not want enemies closing the gap at Mach 10 after getting shot.
As for greens, get a few Guardian Hearts ASAP. Getting one tapped by Spite bombs or Overloading enemies is the most common cause of death. After you've got enough of a buffer you can lean into Clovers, Feathers, Jetpacks, Guitars, Missiles, et cetera. Make sure to get a Cape for good measure as well.
I've only gotten 2 red drops on my run, but I took Dio's and Dagger. Hard to go wrong with either of those. Never had to use the Dio's but it was good insurance.
Once you've got enough items you can basically breeze through the rest of the game.

Big if true though. Considering having Tempus kind of dictated how I was going about this challenge with having temp items. Leaving all pickups until I was ready to move on so I maximized the time on the next level I had them for. Also trying to prioritize things like clovers for greens so I could get more pickups. As well as trying to brute force and rush to keep the difficulty timer low in case I had no items by the time I fought providence. But if that isn't needed I can spend some time farming instead.

Yeah this was more or less my priority, especially the guardian hearts. I was running with commando since having a skill locked on other characters didn't feel too good, Commando abilities feel good no matter which is locked, along with his piercing shot feeling pretty key considering most teleporter bosses are hordes. Only one that felt having locked was roll, the rest feels like good sustainable damage where some other characters feel dependent on their whole kit at once to be viable, could just be me though. Melee characters just don't seem viable due to Overloading or flaming hordes. I was considering Sniper but if piercing shot is locked that would feel pretty bad. Could be to my detriment handling tons of spit bombs at once, but as long as I had a rope nearby I was alright. But if I don't have to use Tempus this got easier for sure.

Origin is from the original game. You only need the original game's artifacts to unlock Origin. Also, just reduce damage to 10% for an easy unlock.

Seeing the video linked up above made me go back and look at the providence fight to see what artifacts were there, and yeah it is only the OGs. I hadn't paid much attention down there because I was too busy dealing with providence to notice the new ones weren't in. I had just assumed since you needed all of them in the original they would have bumped the new ones in with it but I guess not. Cognation and Tempus not being enabled is a big help, Dissonance and Prestige are whatever.

I could bump the damage handicap, but I feel playing on drizzle just to get the unlock is handicap enough. If worse comes to worse I suppose though.

a few hours ago I managed to complete this challenge using the pilot he seems to be the best character for this because two of his skills are kind of useless I played on drizzly difficulty (I'm not ashamed of that) I didn't see much of a difference since my nemesis was the bombs that enemies dropped when they died
