It was in RoR but it seems to be a soft cap this time. The effect is much lower beyond 13 - 15 but it is noticeable and it does seem to break some abilities. No idea why
I'm pretty sure the reason it breaks is because of how the game handles it's attack animation frames, with some moves having their hitboxes deal damage frame 1, versus other moves that have their damage dealt after a longer amount of frames have passed.
So if i use Artificer as an example, with the way you are explaining it, lets see if i understand correctly?
Flamethrower deals damage over 10 hits, each hit has a set number of frames. With higher attack speed those frames shorten, until with too much attack speed, they overlap. Because each frame is the same amount, the overlap happens simultaneously and instead of becoming crazy fast, you instead just loose 9/10 attack frames.
That actually makes sense. I hope i made sense explaining how i now see it? If im right, maybe its fixable with a patch?
