So chances of this game getting a save and quit is not likely. Believe the main reason was "You can abuse it". Which is pretty silly due to we can run 200% dmg and 10% damage taken on any difficulty.
Thats... how can you abuse save that holds a single run? Even if you can somehow, its a singleplayer game, who cares? Also co-op run saving seems less useful but I guess some people would use it. I do want a save mod though...
Exactly my thoughts. Just let me save the game and quit. When i come back i come to the exact moment i left. If I die or start a new run, the save gets erased. That simple.
Believe also it was against their design of the game. They wanted short games and didn't really want people to just go on forever.
I don't play them as much due to that. Sometimes something crashes or power goes out or i have to do something for hours IRL, and imo any game that doesn't let you save is kind of bad by default. It's 2023, we all have plenty of space for save files.
So best i got is just avoid playing unless you know you'll be able to stay on the game for an hour or two. Maybe a mod will come out later on that fixes it, but only time will tell.
but it's a singleplayer game so it doesn't really matter imo.
