Artifact of sacrifice?
I have done a few runs with sacrifice on, and a common theme between all of them is the lack of item drops before minute 6. Out of around ~15 runs 4 of which ended in a win, i never encountered an item drop occur earlier than minute 5, which has only happened once. I feel like the curve of probability with time is too steep and needs to be straightened a bit, because getting no drops at all early on and then swimming in loot 10 minutes later doesn't seem very balanced. I get that artifacts are simply an option and i can turn it off at any given time, but there are people out there who just cant play this game without sacrifice on, and it feels impossible when enemies scale so much faster than you due to this issue.

TL;DR, skill issue

With sacrifice on you don't try to get items, you just hit TP immediately and go to the next stage. Guaranteed boss drops and the few other drops during teleporter event carry you for how slow the enemies scale with such little time and you can get to stage 4 in like 6-7 minutes if you're lucky with teleporter locations.

Sacrifice runs are easy because you almost never get out-scaled by enemies if you get like a single decent damage item because you just speed through the game. Just be careful about popping like 3 shrine of the mountains at once and you should be fine.

Edit: Not seeing an item before 5 min makes it sound like you're just sitting around waiting for spawns, you just need to zoom

Didn't think that would be the optimal strategy, because usually further stage enemies are a lot tougher than the first, but i guess it does make sense given you get guaranteed items. Thanks for the advice!

Another thing about that is that enemies also scale in power over time, so even if it is a higher tier enemy it is likely to be weaker due to being spawned earlier. The TP event having massively increased spawns improves your progression rate by cutting down the lower intensity of spawns that maps have before it.

Also taking Command is obvious but taking Honor can also help. Honor means they will always be Elites, meaning if you stack 52 Leaf Clovers you have an even higher drop chance now. You can really go nuts with a Glass run on top of that then because of how easy Greens are to find and get your HP back to normal
