Looking for Enforcer tips
I absolutely love playing enforcer, turtle tanks are my thing. But whenever something comes on screen that can move/attack through walls, I feel like there's nothing I can do. Any tips?

Jump and then move usually. It’s easy to get locked into “oh I need to block and hold down fire cuz enforcer” but he can jump and shoot too. Just gotta pick your time to turtle and your time to move.

honestly the whole shield and shoot tactic is hard to make viable in single player, usually need other characters to support that kind of stuff, bandit flashbangs or acrid acid trails can be a big help, engies bounding mines can also really help make it work.

don't always stay in shield mode, and when you do keep backing up and shooting to minimize enemies getting behind you, if an enemy spawns behind you and you wanna stay in shield mode stop firing and backpedal till he's up front, if you aren't in shield mode resort to tapping primary fire and jumping inbetween shots

try to find items like spikestrip, boxing gloves, and taser, all three of those items work really well with enforcer as they keep enemies away for longer leaving them more open to shotgun fire

enforcers alt secondary is amazing, unlock it if you haven't it gives good mobility and can be used to relocate yourself and/or enemies while keeping shield up, if you hold the opposite direction when the charge ends you can turn around while keeping your shield ready

prophets cape is a very nice item to have, not only will you get a bit of HP for each blocked hit from shield but if something does hit you from behind you'll get some nice invuln downtime

scavengers are very dangerous, the lightning ball attack can't be 100% blocked and the missiles can hit you at odd angles, don't stand infront of them for too long and watch your HP when you do

when you enter shield mode you have a pushback effect to nearby enemies, you can pair this with the shield charge to push a bunch of enemies elsewhere then use the shield mode push to make sure they stay infront of you for the time being, or use it to push enemies and bosses off cliffs for fall damage

enforcer's alt special is also very good, chunks magma worm which is great and does good damage in general, if you need to hit smaller targets with it do a short hop and fire it off a split second later, should connect all 3 hits with some practice

and lastly just keep practicing and have fun while you do so, enforcer is a very fun character IMO and very satisfying to get good runs with

+1 for the Alt secondary skill
Its amazing for repositioning and you can use it to turn or jump without losing the Shield Block status. It even does a good chunk of damage and travels further based on your move speed.

Everything here (except the first comment) is actually good and useful information, and I appreciate it. I'll have to give the alt secondary a try, it might incentivize me to keep moving. Also a very good call on dashing *then* shielding to knock things further back. I'll also have to try just sticking around friends while I'm playing with them to help with the flying/rocket enemies.
