Does Bandit smoke bomb double-activate and immediately break stealth for anyone else?

Using a PS4 controller pretending to be an Xbox controller, with it on the default L1/LB mapping. Half the time it just double-fires and I can't figure out why, wondering if anyone else has noticed it.

Assuming because you're playing bandit you enabled the rapid fire accessiblity option? What it doesn't include is that it makes EVERY skill lose its base 'mini cooldown' and Bandit's smokebomb has a secondary effect of making you hop higher so it can be used to intentionally jump higher than Bandit could do normally. Thats probably it. If not, could just be your controller. I use classic controls and I don't have a problem with double trigger.

Nope, no rapid fire. Good idea to watch out for though. Guess I'll have to do some more sciencing

Same here, with keyboard. I noticed that abilities double-press sometimes. It's apparent if you have multiple charges of a skill with Backup Mag, or Bandit's Smokebomb by default. I do have rapid fire on though but it seems like that isn't the cause of it.

A future patch will address this problem. Hopoo is aware of it. Button presses are definitely over sensitive for skills. Using xb1 elite controller.

No but I will say that I'm having a similar issue with a PS5 controller. Plenty of skills that double activate when I only press the button once, like Bandit's primary, it's legit impossible for me to repeatedly fire it a single time in a row, and Artificer's rock jump ability, that trial is borderline impossible for me right now because she just spams it like 3 times on a single button press. Gonna follow this to see if more people turn up with the same issue.

I've experienced this and it is weird because intentionally pressing the smokebomb while active does not deactivate it.

It's killed me a few times and after messing with it for a bit I think it has to do with pressing the smoke bomb too soon after using your primary as if it's still trying to auto fire the primary skill which then applies to the smoke bomb. This probably extends to every survivor in the game but only affects a few. Note that this still happens regardless if the rapid fire accessibility option is on or off.
