Also as a engi main in ror1 and 2 i feel like the quequeing/reaction time of the missile ability/mines ability is messed up, if you shoot/move the game struggle to register the imputs, could be my trash keyboard but i dont feel this in original ror or ror 2
They prolly changed missile because sitting with enemies right on the edge of the screen and bombarding them with a free atg cycling on a 5sec cd kinda took all the fun out of the gameplay lol, engi was famous for cheesing fights in 1 just by standing still and they likely didn't want a repeat of that
They reduced the hitstun on his nades too, and the default bounding mine stack is down to 10 from 15, presumably all nerfed for the same reason - to make his approach to combat way less passive
Skill queuing does feel less responsive here tho for some reason, agree on that
To be fair it's not all bad though. You can still move while firing harpoon missiles by jumping, and Timekeepers Secret is busted with the new turrets. Alt Engineer is also pretty good, and I love the new giant laser.
Fireshield makes things explode if they take high damage, shoving enemies back a good distance, and sprouting egg doesn't care if you're fighting, just so that you're not taking damage, making it really good. It scales... medicorely and it only triggers a while after taking damage but thats what Fireshield is suppose to help with.
As for you prototype turret users, I don't know about keeping it up indefiintely still yet, but I did notice that scarf lets it 'evade' the damage its dealing to itself seemingly, maybe enough scarfs and some luck and you'll have a turret able to beam for a half minute at least!
