Artifact of Command PAUSE
The same problem as in RoR2 the Artifact of Command needs to PAUSE the game so you cab choose an item.
Sadly i almost never have time to choose an item and die since you cant defend your self while choosing.
So way is this not an option you can activate or deavtivate?

Its literally the point. All the artifacts have downsides to balance the OP ability they usually give. Command lets you pick whatever you want......but be fast or die.

Sadly thats just bad game design, so i have to wait for an mod to fix this problem. so many thing wich jsut dont make any sence.

You clearly dont understand how to design a game then.

It is not a problem, it is the balance. You do not get free power in this game. ALL the artifacts have a cost to them. Git gud

You can press escape to pause and it won't close the select item screen, if it's really that much of a problem. Obviously doesn't work in multiplayer, but it would be annoying as hell if the game paused every time another player was selecting a command item

Ehhh, you kind of get free power with them allowing you to modify the damage you deal / receive, but I'm just being a ♥♥♥♥ here. Ultimately, I agree with you. Though some of the newer artifacts or.. At least the ones I don't remember, seem to be 'free power'. Like running faster when your health is low. I don't see a downside to that. ♥♥♥♥ I'm almost dead? Turn into sonic and blitz out of there. At least I didn't see a downside to that one.

@Skylar, the downside in that example, is the effect itself. You must be at low health for it to activate. Therefore, killable much quicker. That IS the downside. Plus it can really mess up timing, movement speed effects quite a few movement abilities. Obviously it can also save your life massively so it balances out.

Same for Glass for example, tonnes of damage sure but now you are a 1 hit death wonder. Each of the artifacts tend to balance themselves.....at least the old ones did. I havent quite played around with the newer ones much yet

Yeah, I guess that's fair. IDK, to me that just seems like a win/win, but I guess yeeting yourself into oblivion from sudden high movement speed would be a funny way to go. It's more along the lines of 'You're probably going to get to low health at some point' where as others like Glass are big damage for 1/10th HP is a more direct trade off.

The downside is it applies to enemies as well. A few more hits to kill that elder lemurian over there? It's now in your face, good luck.

Oh, HAH! That's funny. I haven't used it yet so I didn't know that. I just read it as 'You move faster at low HP', but not every enemy too. That's awesome.

So much cope over not knowing where the items are by nature and just moving the mouse and clicking faster. Skill issues left and right.

Except players, just like in 2, just hit escape to pause the game to look up what they want in a separate tab minimising the game...
Doesn't matter how the game is designed if it doesn't fit actual player behaviour, that's UI and game design 101 xD

I feel like if you die while using command you only have yourself to blame.

Indecision or inability to find an item is on you.
