Bustling fungus broken?
So I noticed that Bustling Fungus still has the same description it's pretty much always had "Heal after standing still for 2 seconds" or similar, but it omits the fact this only works if you're stood still AND not in combat. Either the description should be amended or it should be fixed to work as the tooltip says it does.

I agree. It's an inconsistency in wording and effect. Bungus when you pick it up only says the requirement is "standing still", not "doing nothing"

or they mean standing still completely literally and that moving your arm to attack or shoot would not being considered standing still.

It was already a bit of a meme and they made it a real one and killed it

How so? You run off, stand still to heal, go back to fight. It's faster than the egg so you can get back into the fray.

Fungus isn't the best item, but it has its purposes.

I'm pretty sure you can still be in combat.

You can't be moving or attacking for fungus to work.

tried it with my main man engi, bungus isn't active both on engi and its sentries when firing even when standing still

Oh you know what. I had a brain fart. You two are right ignore me.

Edit: Was thinking of other games where you can still technically be in "combat" while not doing anything. That does not apply to this game lol.

I'm not sure what my thoughts would be on letting it heal while attacking. I just keep thinking how busted that would be on engineer. I always thought of it as more of an after battle heal anyway (minus engineer in ror2 ofc)

I just heard it was a meme though yeah it was a genuinely viable item. I'm not dissing it at all I genuinely love it

I'm pretty sure the main reason people want the old fungus back is because there's items that already heal you out of combat. I.E the egg, mysterious vial. In fact I'm pretty sure the mysterious vial allows you to still heal during combat since it just increases your regen rank.

The issue people have is that Bustling Fungus is not on the same "goodness" as other items. I feel like this makes the game worse in the long run because it takes away a possibly viable build, no matter how braindead it is important that variety exists in these kinds of games.

If you can get to safety i think its the fastest healing item in the game, 2-3% total hp per second only healing item that is a flat percentage and not a number.

Guys. Fungus is one of the only % health healing items in this game. Pretty much everything else is flat healing amounts. It's got its own niche just fine. Used correctly, it's extremely powerful. It also heals the engineer turrets when there aren't enemies around, which is still useful for them since they don't really heal much.

Beat me to the punch.

I mean fair enough, guess I'll just need to get used to this kind of bungus.

I can go play RoR2 if I wanna meme with engineer
