How do you "Kill Providence while backflipping"

You can't fire while backflipping, unless it means the basic attack that can interrupt it, sort of?

Apparently you need to time some other kind of damage with the backflip such that the killing blow is dealt during the backflip animation.

(I.E Fireworks while backflipping, or Dynamite while backflipping)

That's the idea in theory, best of luck getting the timing right, I'm on my third attempt.

my recommendation is lost doll since unlike the nozzle or missile launcher the damage is instant upon pressing so you can backflip and instantly activate the equipment for damage, just make sure providence is low enough

oh and just in case you didn't know you can get the unlock on any of the phases except the worms, doesn't have to be the true final blow

I managed it with Thqibs as it does heavy damage all at once if you position and time it right, thanks for the detail about it working on any phase, I didn't realize that

You know an unlock is annoying when you honestly wish there was a Providence Trial to unlock it instead. I like the game, but locking content behind stuff like this feels like frustration for its own sake.

The Gauss cannon can also work for the first phase and third phase, but not the second (wurms) or final (immunity to it, for some reason); it's a guaranteed spawn on the map along with the keycards to access it, if you don't want to fight RNG to get a good equipment option or other item combos.

Sniper having the worst achievements seems to be a trend in RoR.

No shot first attempt just got him standing next to the cannon and hit flip and interact at the same time, just got it instantly.

I did a command run where I had poison on touch, a bunch of dodges, armor, regen and was able to stand on Providence for a bit. When the poison was close, I mashed my backflip thanks to the afterburners.
