Best way to find the teleporter?
Shameless RoR2 scrub here, I'm loving RoRR, but the thing that keeps killing runs is I spend like, 10 minutes running around trying to find the teleporter, and then I get out-scaled.

RoR2 had those particles that helped you pick out the teleporter at a distance, is there anything like that here that I've missed? Or do I just need to learn the level layouts better?

Speaking of, the level layouts are consistent, right?

Thanks! :)

There's about 6 level layouts per stage that can get picked except for The USS Contact Light. The only random parts of the game are the monster spawns, teleporter spawns and box spawns.

In short you just have to run around the map to find the teleporter. It doesn't have particle effects unfortunately. (I am an RoR2 scrub as well.)

I haven't sunken enough time yet to be positive but I am very experienced with what I'm referring to as classic at this point and it SEEMS to be the same so far.

Yes levels have a couple variations to them that the game will cycle between, unfortunately no real particle effect to help guide you but I promise when you play more you'll learn the levels fast enough to realistically find them within 5-8 minutes.

The teleporters do have particles like they do in 2, but they arent to helpful imo. The biggest key is learning the layout, and find a good loop. Just like in 2, the teleporter can be anywhere, but the maps have set layouts that never change. Once you get used to them, its really easy to just stroll through, grabbing goodies and getting the portal within a few minutes.

if possible prioritise things like goat hoofs and hopoo feathers, mobility is much more important to help cut time navigating in this game then in 2.

Rusty jetpacks are also pretty nice and are more common than feathers. If you get enough of these, you wont even need but maybe 1 feather.

the best way to find a teleporter for me is to set x1 zoom in the options menu. And that feels awkward because i wanna look at new cool animations. I wonder why they didn't make it that you can look around with the game pad stick or the mouse

A toggle key/button to switch between low and high zoom would be nice. Sometimes I get stuck and take like 10 minutes to find a teleport or I dont find it at all and restart

Brill, thanks for the advice everyone!

I'll just keep learning the layouts and see where that gets me. :)

you can zoom out, and then it is so much more easier to find it because you see more of the map... I found this clip that shows how to set it in the settings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLXT8TshmrU
