Prism(?) in Contact Light stage?

There's this weird part of the stage once you go to the bottom, it's a secret area, and it has an outline of a prism, but it won't let me collect it. Anybody else know what I'm talking about? I'm assuming I don't have the character the prism is for I just think it's interesting.

I've also seen this, and with Commando I could pick up the prism that is to the left of the enviroment log for variant #1

if u grab it with acrid u unlock a secret skin, i picked it with huntress and unlocked nothing, idk if its bugged or if only acrid can unlock a skin via that method

There seems to be prisms in specific map tilesets each for a different character. The one in the UES Contact Light is for Acrid. There's one far left on Desolate Forest 3 or 6 (unsure but I am assuming 6 is the tileset with the skin, it'll be a very long climb downwards) for Commando.

Apart from Acrids which is obvious, I've found 2 other Prism Skins in other areas, you don't need to be a specific character to collect them, just has to be the right map to be able to obtain them of course

The other two I found was for Huntress & Drifter

I'm assuming when you obtain them all, that the hollow prism will have a use, I went there with Acrid's new skin equipped, no change

Weirdly I found a prism for Acrid in contact light above the storage room iirc. You need to exit the ship and go through a hidden entrance. I did find the one at the bottom of the map but I couldn't pick it up. Thought you couldn't get both or I need to activate something I missed to get it so I just skipped it. The rock golems jamming out was a nice little easter egg.

the prism is outlined because you dont have the character the skin is for yet, the one at the bottom is for Mercenary.

Beat the game 5 times and unlock Mercenary.

That's it I won't be spoiling it further.

I know it's been a while, but this guys video was great on what these are and how to find them. TLDW, you have to have the character unlocked first for the corresponding prism to get the skin.
