A new stacking 50% damage buff that can last the entire run? A new skill that effectively creates a massive i-frame zone for the entire team? And all the core skills that made Bandit broken the first time around?

Are you just trying to farm Clown awards?

oops u missed your reset as an enemy walked ahead of them last second
its okay if you want to cry about it

hes pretty good, invis is almost invincibility vs alot of enemies, he does pretty good damage, and his alternates are kinda crazy. If you insist on complaining about weak survivors, cry about hanD or artificer or something, though this looks like clown bait anyways

I kinda disagree with your Arti assessment, though this disagreement is with the caveat that I'll never run flamethrower if I don't have to thanks to localized sun being pretty good if you can handle it's controls.

...and that I don't really like her run cycle comparatively, but it's liveable.

TRUE, i unlocked sun yesterday and it seems crazy. I had a couple runs with normal skills and the flamethrower got me killed every time

While I haven't tested the new classes, in the old Risk of rain he was the most OP class to pick.

The attack speed.
The damage.
Cloak ability that makes you invincible.

You just need to to get some speed items and extra jump.

Late game it's full auto and if that isn't enough to kill enemies, throw the bombs or use the ultimate.
Bombs wreck magma worms btw.
The ultimate ability gets ridiculous powerful with stacking crowbars.

Arti is my favorite character from ROR2, but her issues from that game have followed her here. Unfortunately her primary attack is terrible and we don’t have an alternative. The weak hits don’t proc anything, to boot. Without an artifact of command you’re most likely going to be relying on the Sun and DoT damage. The Super Jump is a must pick here as well, but the trial to unlock it is built like a Jump King level, lmao.
Point being, you can stack all sorts of items on her, crank your damage to 200% or even run artifact of glass, she’s still going to feel weak as hell half the time you’re playing her. (Still love her, tho).

(And.. Her walk cycle is *cool*, I love it).

Bandit is a beast, had 5 crowbars on him and just one shot everything while cloaking out of danger.

Flashbang and whip is the best and safest way to clear enemy groups now. Also the worst survivor in the game is artificer again.

These statements aren't entirely final, as I spent more time trying to find a drone scrapper yesterday than anything else. Primary isn't toooo bad when you're used to it's range working like a tipper and get used to that range, though it's weaknesses are helped by it being decidedly hard to whiff it's tipper against any boss but Providence. I like the rock jump (aside from the ten second cooldown, WHOOF), but I think the ice wall might be able to provide more combat utility, once I'm done labbing, I theorize you can use the ice wall so you can guarantee tippers on foes who can't ignore terrain. The lance toss... It feels like it's just flat out too situational due to it's mechanics. It's good if you have a lengthy line of singular enemies, but having to repress for each pierce isn't that good if they're too grouped up to beat out nano bomb's explosion. Small sun is STRICTLY the better option over flamethrower due to it's range, vertical coverage and not basically erasing your mobility for it's duration. Flamethrower is better for procs, but just like in 2, the second you forsake the meme damage option, your runs will generally feel better.

As far as my assessment of her capabilities... I feel like she's not the worst survivor (for me), right now I lean on that being either Han-D or sniper (specifically in any stage where the birds show up since they counter sniper so ridiculously hard), she feels like the sole B tier in a game where 70% of the survivors sit in A tier or higher, though she could be a high skill cap which would make her placement in any tier list tricky, as HSC's are either top tier in good hands or near bottom in inexperienced hands (a la the Vergil, Dante, Zero comp in UMVC3). There isn't any question that flamethrower is JUST bad in this one though.

(Also, my issue with arti's run cycle isn't the cycle itself, but earlygame it's animation feels discontinuitous with how fast she's actually moving)

I can't really speak on how good he is, but standoff is not fun to play with at all, imo. The damage buff is nice, but getting stacks for it is frustrating/annoying. Just when you've lined up a shot on a low health lemurian it turns around for no reason and the attack hits a full health sand crab instead.

This has happened to me so many times now trying to get the golden crown in the trial... I don´t get it.

I'm just gonna pretend this is sarcasm because there is no way in hell someone actually likes that worthless ability on arti

I just can't imagine changing out the main gun for the whip when you have a grenade that will deal with any groups of enemies. Getting the extra magazines you can throw even more of them.

The whip is just so slow too.
