Wandering Ronin?

How do they become employed? Their location isn't listed in the Info screen which is unlike previous NA's I played.

You cannot manually choose who to employ. Your retainers will submit petition to employ them, or they come to apply to join you (high odds of this after you win authority battle for example).

Having retainers with the networking skill gives you the opportunity to recruit Ronin from far away. I managed to get Dousetsu from all the way in Kyuushuu when I was still fighting the Hojo in Kantou. The Otomo got wiped by the Shimazu so he became a ronin. But yea it happens randomly and you don't know who you're recruiting either unless you get the "serve" or "betray" proposals.

Actually there is land measure for recruiting ronin. But is usually pretty weak and not worth it. So yeah, Networking and the fallout from Authority are the best options.

Thank you, everyone. I saw the land measure and it looked to me more like "Search" from previous NA's rather than "Employ."

I never succeeded from those even when it's 50-50

I never even bothered with Land Measure. There are better policies to take.
