saya harap Versi nobunaga ini ada versi inggrisnya.amin.
Their communication is so poor too. They don't even tell us if they are releasing an English version or not.
Do you as Indonesian realize (aside for Indonesia = one of SEA countries ), why the games still can be bought in your country despite blocked everywhere else not East - South East Asia region?
For Nobunaga ambition and all other KOEI EAST ASIAN themed strategys:
Because KOEI Japan categories East Asia-South East Asia countries as one regional language market (Mainly for having spoken Chinese/Korean/Japanese). Now let's focused on Chinese as Koreanese and Japanese market in those outside of theirs is a tiny.
Do you realize in all of SEA market that KOEI operates :
- Vietnamese (Tiếng Việt main and side Chinese)
- Philippine (Tagalog main and side Chinese and English)
- Thai (Thai main, side Chinese and little English )
- Indonesian (Melayu main and English)
- Malaysian (Melayu main and side Chinese and English)
- Singapore (English main, side Chinese and little Melayu)
Only Indonesia the only one who doesn't have heavy Chinese immigrant descendants culture influence for side Chinese language?
Not mentioned before 1998, even After "Reformasi" until today AFAIK Indonesia doesn't even have an Official Chinatown location in their big cities (I can state why but you Indonesian who born before 1990 must be known why) - Hint: who the Jokowi's opponent at 2019 general election?
So as Indonesian (and one of the SEA region nation), please learn another useful side language beside English, like the one mainly used in another SEA nation: Chinese and be done with it.
Leave the "English" begging for western countries as they (western) always think English = language exclusively just for western countries by the way how they translate into theirs (always managed into adding their "woke" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ politics into it)
look, I do not care politics, nor it should be brought into this game related topic at all. If you say the game has politics in it, it is not my politics, and it is the past (and maybe fictional or a bit romanticised). Whether this sound begging or not, I like this type of game, and I wish to be able to understand and play the game, that is it.
Japanese Video Games company do not care about english Indonesia market or more generally "SEA english speaking market".
For English translation, they only care about NA and Western Europe (and some oceania) market.
if you as an Indonesian (who KOEI Japan now think as possible market for potential Japanese and Chinese language market for games) always keep making "English translationn begging" thread like this what do you think KOEI Japan will react?
They will banned this games from your country because KOEI Japan will think YOUR MARKET is not have a potential for similar themed games anymore.
You cannot even to buy this games anymore legally even if you already learn the language (Chinese or Japanese) in the future.
So for you, the best chance to PLAY this game is:
1. Stop making English begging thread (leave that to western player)
2. Learn the language available
3. Hope for your country to be outed from SEA to Oceania (AU and NZ) for possible english translation (if the games available on there some day of course)
Again, I do not care politics, they want to have our audience or not, it is up to them. I only wish if I can "Understand and play the game", whatever language they may make available. I only wish.
But who are you? suddenly telling someone to learn languages that takes years to master? and who are you hoping for my country to depart from SEA market and be categorised in somewhere else? you work for them?

TLDR; you are an ass.
English is an international language and covers worldwide, there is no reason to not translate things into english. The whole "regional store" concept is just outdated concept that carry over from console gaming, in reality there is no reason why you can't just release a single version for every country with multi language option. JP companies have always been the most old fashioned this way, for every other countries that isn't JP devs nowadays everyone just do single version for everyone.
Actually this game might be the most mainstream game (as in non-indie) without english translation, everything else nowadays has english translation unless it's indie stuff because no budget really. Super robot wars series is now fully english. Even heroes of three kingdoms 8 has english translation (as well all of the used to be chinese exclusive tw games from richman to sword and fairy). Even rance has english translation nowadays. And many many things more niche than this game has english translation.
English is not just US and EU. All of the younger generation all over the world know enough english to play games in english. Like even for chinese people who know chinese, many of those still prefer to set game language to english if it is available, including singaporean/malaysian chinese (because some of them are actually english schooled and speak english at home), as well as all of the other diaspora chinese outside TW/HK. 2nd or later generation immigrant chinese is most countries almost always prefer english. Personally I know many asian born Americans for example and every single one of them prefer to read in English over their parents native language.
The issue is that Taishi sells poorly, but let's be real this is due to the poor quality of the game itself as well as the lack of regional pricing that force many people to just pirate honestly.
I can not deny that Koei is seemingly out of touch (in term of having outside East Asian audiences) based on their newer previous similar type genres, or they just want to pick their audiences specifically for East Asia only. But to think that over all these years, they can not be this naive as a company, right? Or.. they are just simply like you said an Old School company.
in anyway, I do not know what is going on in there. You and I can make many paragraphs telling about many unreasonable decisions they make, in which are only agreeable by our views. But in Japanese community themselves, it is a different view, different culture, by this time I am starting to believe only them matters, since it is them they understand most.
Some Indonesian (and also other) wants English sub and this guy rants about history & politics instead. Too funny. You can make your post much more simpler and your point will be taken instead of getting too political and patronizing.
I too wish for an English sub, but as with KOEI games it will probably take years before they will release it. ROTK usually released with an English sub, but since this is Nobunaga's Ambition and it is pretty much unknown in the western world, then we just have to wait.
Come on bro we have to learn English in order to join University and Bureaucracy job
And we have to learn English since middle school there no Chinese language in main course
So don't tell like you know Thailand well English is our third language (Second is Laos language anyways)
And we not side with Chinese in Political, Economic, Military issue
He said people in Malaysia and Singapore are studied English more than Chinese and they very enjoy playing mobile game in global server than Chinese server bcz it's Easy to read and understandable (So you know now why Whale live in Sea and Global server not Chinese server)
