Should underground nodes respawn?

It just occurred to me that the only source of new lightstones is the finite nodes in the underground.

But besides that, I would prefer the ability to go underground later and get more ore of whatever type if I so choose.

Also, it seems that not only do the monsters respawn, bu the monster spawners come back too.

So not totally unbalanced to be able to go back down and fight the monsters again and get more ore (with a nice benefit to having lit up the area / repaired bridges etc.).

Hasn't been my experience. Going back to places underground, like on the starter island, didn't have respawning, even after nodes on surface respawned.

Welp, make sure your game is up-to-date. Patch 0.5.02 specifically fixed underground nodes not respawning.

That wasn't in the patch notes, but it could be related to the titanium nodes on the surface not respawning.

The only lights that respawn for me are the braziers that take 5 coal. The lamp posts that take 1 coal are always unlit when I return underground.

my game is up to date and not one single underground resource node has respawned. seriously, the resource grind in this game is a complete turn off.

they respawn, but they are invisible and drop nothing.
my toon bumped into things that werent there so I swung my pick at it and it made the noises and all but dropped nothing.

Idk if this is true...I actually saw an ore node reappear in front of me and it still had the stone and coal from the first time I mined it. I typically go 2 days at least before I return underground, my early game is just repeating underground mining until I upgrade workbench, restore town, and have several farm plots working, so my food supplies are practically endless, so on the first island at the very least, the ore nodes respawn.

I made it about 5 weeks into the game, and I never saw a node from the dungeon areas respawn. The entire area remained picked clean in every instance.

Above ground rocks respawn seemingly every time I sleep, though I can't speak to the above ground titanium nodes and the like. I never personally saw one respawn, but I also didn't really go looking for them. The patch 5.02 patch (yesterday, I think?) did say it fixed above ground titanium nodes not respawning though.

Not totally true. There is another way to get light stones but it takes way too much time and oil.

its a moot point now.
the bug was corrected and its all spawning again underground.
at least for me.
