How do you harvest a pear tree, please?

I have it planted in a garden planter - is that required? The cultivator does't change to a tool tip with the tree as it does for other crops. I'm at a loss. Thanks for any help.

Use your axe to cut down the tree once it matures.

I dont think it sparkles, just look for pears on it. Kind of odd it isn't more like Portia where the tree sparkles and you harvest from the tree without cutting it down but I guess they grow so fast its whatever.

Thanks, yeah it is weird, sometimes I get 6 bananas sometimes I get 9 olives, still haven't figure out what's "best" time to harvest.

Different plants drop different amount of their produce. The best time to harvest is when there's fruit.

I've gotten as few as 2 and as many as 4 from pear trees that were planted side by side.

Thanks for the feedback. I finally did just cut it down and I got two seeds out of it. Anyone have a similar experience? Is it usual that you'll at least get one for - sobs - having to kill the tree?

Turns out i was harvesting too soon. When i came back from my latest caving trip the pear trees were even bigger than what i thought was full size. Got 5-7 pears and 1-2 seeds from each one.

yeah. they all have 4 stages. for example berry bush. starts as tiny bushling. than it is a bigger bush, than tiny berries appear and than in the last stage it is ripe with bigger berries.
pumpkins are just the stem, than a little green one, than a little orange one and than ripe.
Same for the trees. mini tree, medium tree, tree with some tiny fruits than big woth biger fruits.
i axed them down in stage 3 way too often before i realized there is another one. no wonder i got only 1-2 seeds and 2-3 fruits.

In the same world that a fruit tree grows to full maturity in 3 days.

Lattices are very buggy at the moment. The only "solution" I've found is to restart the game so you can use them properly.

I think the sparkles is missing from trees, when they fully mature.
This update is a bit inconsistent, compared to last public build.
