BUG REPORTING AND TROUBLESHOOTING
If you're experiencing a bug please follow the below steps for initial troubleshooting:

1) Ensure you don't have a VPN on and the game has firewall access as this can cause connection issues
2) verify your game files and reboot Steam
3) Check to confirm your PC meets minimum game specs to run Operation:Tango
4) Fully quit Steam/reboot your device.

Players still having an issue, you can email your player log so the team can look at what could be causing the problem when the studio is open. You can find your player.log here: C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\LocalLow\Clever-Plays\Operation Tango\Player.Log thanks!!

I had terrible ping playing with my flatmate, playing on the same LAN connection with each other. I expect because the server wasn't hosted in our country or something. The game constantly lagged, or booted us to the menu with a full disconnect because of it.

Is there any way we could play P2P or something?

Hi there! Did you happen to try the above troubleshooting steps? Sometimes a VPN can be the cause for a super high ping or something isn't connecting properly and verifying the game files can assist with that.

Hey, my partner and I are having no issues with the gameplay so far except a killer crash On mission 5 right after the laser wall when trying to unlock a door. We had no issues when I played as Agent, but when we switched roles, it gives me the request from my partner about hacking the door, it gives a "Network Error has Occurred" notification on his end, and we cannot continue our progress through the campaign. We would really like to 100% this game, please fix this bug! Thanks!

(UPDATE) Anytime my partner sends a request for help to pick a lock, it sends the same code and boots us out of the game. We just tried it again on mission 6. HELP!!!

Hi there! Have you followed the troubleshooting steps above? Usually, they can bypass the bugs but if not let us know and we can look into it more.

Hey, I encountered the same issue like yours and it may be due to Window 11. If I use Window 10 and play agent role, I can pick the lock. It's also fine if I use Window 11 and play hacker role but It seems that I can't use the latest version of Window 11 and play agent role, otherwise it will crash and kick me out of the game when I try to pick the lock.

Managed to get through mission 4, but it's hard to pinpoint what went right this time, as me and my partner changed several things:
1) We realized the game was, by default, set for mad upscaling and set at 8k resolution. We reduced to to normal screen reolutions
2) We both set limit to max FPS at 60FPS.
3) PC and steam were (obviously, as this was a week later) restarted

Don't know if that helps. But after those changes we managed to go through first try.

It's somewhat odd that the game is fully utilizing my GPU (AMD Radeon RX6650XT) at 100% even on start screen, as indicated by the task manager and confirmed by the notably loud noise emanating from the GPU fans.

Update: okay, it's due to 4K resolution and unlimited FPS by default. Anyway, not sure that this is a good solution -- to load GPU so hard even at main menu, especially the first time the game started. I thought that something is not quite right with my hardware.


I had a similar issue; some occasional crashes on missions [1,3], but systematic on mission 4, despite having a pretty beefy AMD-based setup (Radeon RX 6800, 16G dedicated VRam, 64G RAM). The menu tops up the GPU. I tried the troubleshooting steps given above. Drivers are up to date.

Setting a FPS limiter to 60FPS solved the problem magically. I've saved the last crash log just in case you were interested @Clever Plays Studio
Me and my friend have issues with codes and solutions. It seems as though in Challenge mode the correct solutions did not match on either end. I would put in the IP address and it would be wrong, and I would tell her the key code and it would be wrong despite being the correct key shape. We restarted the mission multiple times and there doesn't seem to be a fix. Not sure if its a server issue or some kind of bug but it made the gamemode unplayable.

I have not upgraded to Win11, I'm still using Win10. We did try switching roles, but it has not helped. It is the same story on other missions as well, any time we have a partner request for tasks, it boots our connection with that same error msg. I've already sent my friend a msg asking about VPNs and firewalls, so right now I'm just waiting. I'll ask him if he is using Win11, though....I didn't think about that.

There isn't anything blocking regions on our end. That error is always tied to something interrupting the game from connecting to Steam :( Usually allowing firewall access/turning OFF any VPNs will fix it.

Me and my son are next to each other, and the game doesnt run.
I have an i7 11th gen hp laptop with basic NVIDIA gpu, can run gta 5 at low settings lag free. This games menu doesnt run properly if i dont play it on 720p on window mode. after all is done, and we finally connect, cant go past the intro video and black screen. broken game. Please rework on this games codes from scratch. maybe talk to the guys at GOG on how to make games compatible :/
