Who would want a sequel to this game?
I'm creating this discussion post for three reasons. First to help encourage Casper to create a sequel. Second to gauge the interest of others. Finally so that my overwhelming desire to know what happens next.

I am excited to see what you have to say.

Could you let me know where that was shared? I would LOVE to see that too.

Wasn't there also going to be a DLC first with a side mission?

Too bad the dev is not that active here, maybe he could explain more.

One of the most charming horror games in recent memory, a sequel would be awesome, especially if it was in a PS2 style to emulate that kind of progression these type of games went towards.

Never heard of that. Proof?
I like that idea. I like survival horror games and Alisa deserves a sequel.

Great game, a sequel would be nice.

I don't think it needs to be a direct sequel, but more games like this would be nice. The only other recent similar game I can think of is Tormented Souls, and in my opinion it's nowhere near as appealing or interesting as Alisa.

The ending (one of them, anyway) seems to set up for a sequel but Casper is only one guy so I can't imagine one is coming any time soon. Especially since there's still some small stuff Alisa needs have to fulfill the promises from the kickstarter.

Honestly? No. The enemies and combat in this game are atrocious. The visuals and music are the only thing that keep me playing this game. Anytime I have to fight anything it puts me in a bad mood having to deal with the sluggish combat combined with fast aggressive enemies. This is gonna be a game that I complete once and then never look back

To be honest, after a bit of practice I found combat to be almost too easy. Just bring the saber with you. With proper timing you can block and counter an enemy attack and then riposte for extra damage. This saves you a lot of toothwheels on ammo. You can also stagger the enemies with the saber and slow them down while you sneak in 2 or 3 hits. Some enemies, like the clowns or small grounded enemies are a bit trickier, but you still have your guns (or you can just avoid them).

For what it's worth, combat in this game is in the style of old school survival horror titles where "stop," "shoot," "move" more or less sums up gameplay. If you don't play a lot of games like that, I can sympathize as Alisa borrows the good and the bad from its influences.

Right, so because the first game had bad combat (subjectively), he can't make a sequel where he improves the combat? That makes total sense lmfao
