Other than Cleansing Everwhite being bugged in Arena and not always providing the extra attack damage from moving around, a regular Arena Weapon actually works really well for Mirabell as she attempts to play like how Emily in the old days used to play: just suppress others with a non-stop barrage of normal attacks for permanent dps from the very start. Sadly, Mirabell doesn't get something like Healing Field like Emily had even back then though.
What keeps Mirabell out of D Tier is the sole fact she does have a very strong immediate damage output with Astaroth-like range, which gives her a few good match-ups (mostly against the D Tiers), but that's about it.
Other changes:
Moved Rin down from S Tier to A Tier for being outclassed by too many others. Although she still has some of the fastest animations, the amount of locks others can perform just leaves her dps in the dust most of the time and the change to how AI uses Hold Dodge skills in Arena also makes her burst lower than it was before.
Also moved Eleonor down from A Tier to B Tier, as what makes Eleonor good in the first place is the fact she bypasses Butler Asagi and can slow anyone she wants (even a Noah with Butler Asagi equipped and that means a lot). But this also means she's a perfect fit for what I previously explained the B Tier is all about: anti-meta characters. The slow debuff itself is pretty meta so Eleonor combines both, but in the end I feel like she's more anti-meta than meta herself (her juggle against anyone not relying on Butler Asagi is a bit inconsistent).
Azusa joined the ranks of S Tier with her new Weapon Mayakashi, giving her a very nice debuff that makes her burst much better while also giving her free damage reduction (which aids her healing skill too) and maintaining most of the extra damage an Arena Weapon would provide. All these little extras have pushed her beyond just being a self-healing lock abuser and turned her into an actual Arena boss. Natsu and Azusa are very similiar now, but I decided to put her beneath Natsu as Natsu still *also* has access to Super Armor which Azusa is lacking.
The Ragnarok Supporter has also been bumped to SS Tier as the passive freezing is just too good for breaking up combos or getting some much needed free time to get out of a debuff lock and is far more reliable than 4x Ice Magatamas. This is also why I decided to move Ragnarok all the way up to S Tier herself, as she is definitely the best user of this Supporter when equipped with Laevatein (which is also the reason I decided to list this Weapon despite the Arena Weapon being pretty similiar in performance). She still has some consistency issues which is why she didn't jump to SS Tier like her Supporter did and why I'm not entirely sure where she belongs in the Tier, so for now she just got added to the bottom. Ragnarok can absolutely decimate anyone, even Noah, or she could end up getting extremely unlucky and playing like a weaker Kirara. This is why she's extremely hard to pin on a Tier list, but I believe in "time will tell".
For the Supporter List, I also added Mirabell to C Tier and Sword Dance Azusa to B Tier, as they are viable options for potential Crit builds. I don't think Lightning Sonic Rin is worth it in Arena, as Fortitude reduction (the main reason you would want to use her there) isn't very useful. At best it makes the Natsu match-up a little easier, but she feels more like a VR Supporter to me with that Super Armor break (although Super Armor is becoming more common in Arena too, so maybe she will be more worthwhile in the future).
Lastly, I updated Maika's core skills as they were based on an age where AI was behaving very differently in Arena. All the AI changes caused the listed skills to not work as well as they did before, so I updated them. This might cause Maika to drop a few ranks later down the line, but I do think she will always be extremely reliant on match-ups no matter what she builds, so for now she remains where she was at. Sora has also been moved down to the bottom of A Tier for the same AI behavior change reasons (her locks are much less consistent now).
What really could help the people starting out or in midgame is a guide of character power and squads for PvE
For example: Tower, Taimanin VR and Total War full 12 teams, people can only spy the squad of normal mode and just the last one of relay.
I did mention in the very first thread that I know I'm among the minority of people who actually care about PvP, but it can't be a waste of time if I'm enjoying testing and comparing different builds there.
If someone wants to make the same type of lists for VR and Total War, they are entirely free to do so, but that's not my cup of tea. Why won't you make one like that?
I have the game on life support since a long time, if there wasnt characters who play themselves like Emily and Shisui i would have quitted a long time ago.
I have the game muted for years already and just alt tab to click mission and continue browsing on the internet or watching videos or just playing another game.
When there is half ap just dump a ton of AP and just let it farm alone with mouse clicking on play again. Gaming mouses are useful as always. And just go and watch movies on tv or just go outside while game just plays alone.
I just find it a massive waste of time this PvP, probably the worst PvP i have ever saw in a videogame.
Even more waste of time than the game itself.
What makes you think that how you feel about this game is how everyone else feels though?
I think Ragnarok is possibly the best character in the game for arena, and it's really only the wacky AI holding her back. She can completely curbstomp most of the cast, even Noah as you said.
Her worst matchup is... a mirror match, because the AI will either decide you steamroll your opponent, or the enemy Ragna just totally shuts you down. It's never close, it always seems to be a stomp one way or the other.
I still think Laevatein is essential. The Deep Freeze effect is just so, so strong for lockdowns, especially towards the end of a fight when you don't want your opponent to get that final heal and just barely win.
A few other random thoughts.
Azusa
I was very adamant about a 2x green build being the best for Azusa, but I think her new weapon opens up some more variety now that she has built-in defense with it. 2x blue is probably the way to go now.
I really like [Celestial Fox] Sora on her, but it feels bad to not take advantage of the ranged damage bonus, so I've been using [Butler] Asagi as the main for now. I'm not in love with it, but it seems to work fairly well.
[Kung-Fu Girl] Nanase Mai is a pretty great option for this build to make up for the loss of that extra 10% healing on Mirror Image without 2x green, and opens up the damage bonus on Makora if using that, as well as just providing more damage in general via the supporter effect.
Kirara
I've been using Kirara a lot on my team the past couple months, and I'm pretty much sold on 3x blue at this point.
Blossoming Fog is the most annoying thing ever, and combined with Snow Veil, she just completely shuts down a lot of the cast if they aren't running [Butler] Asagi. Even vs enemies with that supporter/slow immunity, the sheer amount of freezes she puts out is very hard to deal with. I use Snow Leopard Sprint for the speed buff, too. Not even using Frigid Zone, lol.
Mirabell
I just got her for gems and leveled her to 83, but haven't invested in her. It seems like a turret spam build is the way to go in arena for the flinch potential. I'll test her eventually when I decide to get her arena weapons. She's pretty fun in PvE, so I may end up using her as my farming character.
Nice work, as always.
As for Azusa, I already used to think 2x blue was better and I still do but it's funny that you mention Kung Fu Nanase, because that's who I had been using on her alongside the 2 blues even since the previous thread.
As for Kirara, she has a few different builds that work well but I really wouldn't suggest dropping Crystal Ice. Not using Frigid Zone because it doesn't trigger consistently against everyone is one thing, but Crystal Ice is by far the most mechanically broken Skill in her entire arsenal, especially after her rework turned it into a homing ranged attack.
And in regards to Mirabell, I tried the turret abuse too (it was my initial idea as well lol), but there are many things holding it back. Most importantly, she can't have more than 1 turret at a time even if the cooldown hasn't ended (placing a 2nd one will make the 1st one disappear) and secondly, the Turrets don't shoot homing rockets, so they actually miss more than they hit, unless you're facing characters that don't move much like Emily or Noah. This is why I feel like her PvP prowess is limited to either going full on normal attack damage, or to spam her Ult with Cleansing Everwhite.
I dont see the point of investing time on a mode who is full P2W but compared to other games you didnt even control the characters and the AI of this game make look good the AI used in bethesda games...
Too much effort for a playerbase so tiny on a even more niche game mode.
And you are right, i dont enjoy the game anymore. The censorship of some of my most liked characters and they not willing to uncensor them after all these years has permanently made me dislike the team.
Also the boring repetitive waste of writing spent on making a "safe" story didnt help either.
I dont forget the butchering they do in the renewals to some characters, they use the excuse of the renewals to sell packs and delay the release of new characters.
The game has been stagnant for a long time, it never added coop mode.
Clubs was just a bait to milk the whales who max them in a day, after that its abandoned and it never felt like a club. You cant borrow or show your character to other members.
They added the archive and that means we are reaching the end of the line.
I just keep going because it cost me the bare minimum effort to mantain all.
I feel you on the censorship, I was a big fan of both Secret Garden and the Bunny costumes as well, but let's not forget these are NOT censored on Steam. The only reason I'm also sad is because the ban on Android will likely mean we won't ever see more of them get added to the game in the future either, even on Steam.
As for co-op, I'm also sour about that considering they promised us over a year ago that this mode was going to come to the game, but instead we got Total War. I haven't exactly forgiven them for this either, but I will keep up hope that one day they will actually come through with their promise and give us the much awaited REAL co-op mode.
However, none of these things take away the overall fun the game itself provides for me and that's why I don't mind putting in the "wasted effort" of making PvP Tiers, even if I know there's only going to be 2 or 3 people who take a look at them.
Lastly, I really don't think Archives is "the beginning of the end". If anything, it just means they WONT be re-running old events all the time, which is the actual "minimum effort" that you usually see in games that are truly dying. Games like Azur Lane have had Archive sections of their past events for years and that game is still going strong as well. I've been around in many games that have both thrived and died out and I can safely say I don't see any sign of AT becoming one of the games that died out. Not yet anyway.
Wrong about censorship. You have short memory or didnt took the time to compare stuff.
Im talking about censorship we had since the very first year on release on popular characters who are still censored in ALL platforms.
I wont make the exact long list of censored costumes but i will name a few:
Shiranui standard: granny panty texture ruining the leotard lines.
Yukikaze standard: More texture covering her leotard lines, the numbskulls even left her uncensored screenshot in some banners and menus for a long time.
Kirara standard: They changed completely her bra design and added more fabric in her costume in some parts.
Maika standard: Diaper back instead of a thong.
Eleonor standard: the worst change of all, she had a leotard very well designed, it was like uncensored shuranui with some decoration.
Alts:
Rinko heavenly moonflower completely destroyed compared to source.
Demon Murasaki had a thong changed to ugly panty.
there were others changed too, also supporters or event characters were changed too like demon girl i cant remember the name now who had a thong and they changed it to a short.
Its easy to notice who is a taimanin follower or not when one cant even notice the censorhip we had in standard costumes for a long time.
That android bunny - secret garden fiasco is just another disgrace in a long serie. And is just a recent change, before that android and steam were the same but they still had censorship like mentioned earlier.
All this needs to be pointed out, lots of people didnt know about it and they repeat the same lie of steam is uncensored and that means if nobody mention the truth it will stay censored.
IOs was used waaaay too much back then as like it was "the censored version". Its a half truth, the real truth is its the heavier censored version, but a clean version didnt exist yet.
What is happening now is Android is becoming like IOs.
If people were aware specially the whales and voted with their wallets gremory would be forced to release a uncensored apk or uncensored pc release in a alternate site to please their fans.
Just because the game made changes to the designs from Visual Novels and/or RPGX does NOT mean that this game is censored. But just like before, its going to come down to our different definitions of the word censorship, so I'm just gonna leave it at that. This is a PvP Tierlist thread afterall.
Wrong, stop calling it wrong. It is just spreading misinformation.
Android and IOs is MORE censored but there is no version uncensored right now.
There is a single definition of censorship. Dont sugarcoat it. These changes were made with the goal of censoring art.
Censorship must never be celebrated or tolerated, if you let it in it goes in a unstoppable spiral of more and more. I have saw enough in my life of that.
also, since this game HAS Lilith, but its published by Grem Games Inc and Inf Brain Inc, they can censor whatever they want. that includes size, costumes, just as long it passes Liliths okay. dont like that, either do something about it, roll with it, or go play the RPGX japanese version, you decide
"either do something about it" Raising awareness is what i have been doing a long time and wont stop until this reach EOS and effort becomes redundant.
And recommending RPGX is entering another rabbithole of a product falling apart i wont bother talking about here. They released a low effort global who main selling point was uncensored mosaics and they did nothing about it, they just copypasted the same butchered CG of japan version.
