old school cheats?

Most of them exist so that devs can test certain gameplay elements. Pretty sure they exist, but I'm not certain anyone who knows wants to tell

Would love it if they had cheats, I got stuck in a pillar and would've loved to noclip my way out of it.

Also it would be awesome to have god mode and the ability to cheat some weapons, ammo, and upgrades, like for replays and speedruns and the like.

To go really old school they need to add cheat codes for colour filters and a big head mode, and one that spawns Big John.

yeah it'd be nice to end the whole idea of oh you want cheats therefore you must suck at games and blah blah when like no. take gzdoom for example, i can freeze time, summon random crap like explosive barrels or enemies, fly around, use god mode not to cheat but test AI behavior in different scenarios, explore the map design and so much more sandbox like things to do with that dev like access console that just adds a lot of neat elements for curious people like myself who after playing stuff want to then go out of bounds and see how its put together or try to break things and so forth.

If anyone was wondering, these codes work in guardian mode and don't impact achievements. So if, like most people, you have zero interest in endless modes in FPS games and hate achievements tied to them, just load them up, set god mode, infinite ammo, and all runes, convert the SMG's to hellfire mode, and you can knock out 10 rounds at Hell or NIghtmare in about 10 minutes each.

based.. got to remember that in the future when/if I come back to this game (my save got corrupted and no longer works due to my PC crashing at the final boss)
