The monsters have good sound cues and all have the same brief delay before shooting. You switch weapons instantly. You have an on-demand tool that completely disables enemies. You can dash out of the way instantly so melee guys can't touch you even if they startle you. You can regularly slow down time to give yourself some breathing room.
You are given literally everything you need to not take damage at all.
Oddly enough, I could perfectly beat other retro-shooters like Dusk and Ion Fury without issues. However, Dread Templar's monsters keep kicking my sorry @ss mercilessly XD
I recently purchased the game, so I guess it's just a matter of getting used to its mechanics.
Seems like it's the typical situation were you're better at some games than others, and that is. I feel this game pretty forgiving on hard for what i've played until now
For example, I can beat a game like Dark Souls or Sekiro with no problem, but i struggle the hell out at games like Shovel knight, lol. i didn't even finish it.
