Just because the Steam forum is dead does not mean the game is. So many Devs have moved to Discord because of the lack of moderation tools among other things. Have a few friends that are devs and they all tell me the same.
Besides most forums for games are Steam are just places for the trolls to come and talk about how dead the game is.

If a dev cannot take criticism, he/she should not be in this business. I am not going to be led by the nose to Discord for what we both know is an extremely weak, slow moving effort such as this. Yeah, maybe the term "dead" is extreme. But "dormant", or "in a com"a would certainly be accurate. When a dev basically abandons a game for 15+ months, HE is the one that sets the tone for the Steam comment section. No moderation in Discord is going to change that. If 15 months of no reply in a game that was first posted in 2020, didn't earn the remarks you are crying about, you had better get used to it and tell the same to your son or best friend, or whoever this dev is to you. I will still pull for him, no doubt. I want to see him work hard on this and succeed. But don't go trying to tell me that this ain't a ghost town in here. And the state of the game is to blame. Now go get yourself a box of Scooby treats and solve the mystery of why this game is not successful yet.
