Angel Legion: Random Helpful Tips & Hints
Hi all. Thought I'd just post some new things I learnt by myself - post any of your own that you think people don't know about - PLEASE SHARE YOUR OWN TIPS :P

PLEASE try to keep the discussion on just sharing the tips, and not talking about other things. Thanks!

- Expedition is good chance to get 100 S genes every time. Follow the steam guide (posted here in the guides section) to manually plan your attack. TLDR save up on Blessings until the last level 30 fight (for me I use x22-40 blessings for this last fight). Once you do it, you can repeat it and hit level 30 every time. You can QUIT A BATTLE FOR FREE without losing health or revives, so keep quitting to maintain your team state if you are losing.

- In EXPEDITION spread out your attacks over the days so you don't spend anything for healing and revives. Here's an example of one of my runs:

1st day, levels 1 to 23, zero blessings used, then wait for healing

2nd day, levels 24 to 26 (try to heal your teammates fully before ending rounds)
- 24: Scythe, 2 blessings, x3 purple A grenades (throw them all right away)
- 25: 0 blessings, x2 A grenades, 1 heal (use heal to prevent someone dying)
- 26: 2 blessings, x3 A grenades
- 27: 3 blessings, x3 A grenades - then wait for healing

3rd day, levels 28-29 (you should have around 45+ blessings left)
- 28: 6 blessings, x3 A deadly rays (snipe nearly dead enemies)
- 29: 6 blessings, x3 A deadly ray equipment
- wait to heal after 29

Last day, level 30
- you should have around 20-40+ blessings left to fight this one
- even if 1-2 of your heroes die at 29 you might be able to defeat this level on the 3rd day with your added blessings

- EQUIPMENT IS IMPORTANT for any battle in any mode (Expedition, Battle, Main Mission etc). And having enough equipment is NOT A PROBLEM you should have (see below for Endless farming)

- In Expedition don't waste your money on gems, alloy etc. Save up for the x100 S genes (which cost around 7000+ coins). If it doesn't appear for you (it will appear, sometimes only on level 30 completion) then save the Expedition coins for the next round.

- For MAIN MISSION, don't forget to KEEP TRACK OF YOUR PROGRESS. If you complete items you don't need, you're wasting them. E.g. if all you need to finish full progress is a Supply Ship (you can see this from the progress screen) - don't kill pirates, bases, adventurers and battleships etc - you're wasting quota for the next round of progress. Just kill the Supply Ship, collect the Progress rewards, then continue killing again. So DON'T KILL STUFF YOU DON'T NEED TO PROGRESS.

- S Equipment items (Orange colour) once at level 9, give you Halo and aura power boosts. They unlock for a set (4 items) at level 9 and again at level 15. No documentation on this! Once I learnt this, I aimed and made sure to set my production (of green C items) constantly to keep fusing until I get orange S sets.

- In the STORAGE menu, click the last section EQUIP to see an overview of what sets you do / don't have. Use this to plan ahead. I use empty slots in lower characters to slowly fill up with S Equipment (orange) items, so I know what to recycle and what to aim for in fusing. It is much easier than shifting equipment in the hero menu.

- The reason I keep making green C items is that they cost x2 less gold (x4 100k gold) than if you make a blue C equipment (800k gold) directly. In the long run you will need the gold to upgrade your heroes so just keep making green items. I wish this was done automatically so we don't need to keep clicking :(

- Hero Gold star leveling up from 2 > 3 stars seems to be more powerful than 1 >2, or 3 > 4 > 5. There's an increase in stats of over a 1,000 points compared to just 70-80. So if you have heroes at 2 and 4 or 1 stars, level the 2 star up to 3 for more team power.

- FARM THE ENDLESS QUEST FOR EQUIPMENT. Certain items like stun grenades and radioactives are useless (because their absolute 200-700 damage scales down). Aim for those equipment with a relative % damage of total team attack + medikits. There is no cooldown or quota, so you can farm endless forever to stock up on equipment.

- Progress the Endless Quest until you get Purple equipment as drops if you can (blue ones are still good for lower levels)

- For Elves, if you have invested a lot of Force (round circle icon) into leveling up an Elf, you might want to consider NOT fusing them to level up another Elf. Instead RECYCLE THOSE ELVES and get the millions of Force you've put into it back.

- Don't forget to SPEND YOUR UAV ALLOYS (click on hero, then UAV icon) to level up your UAVs. They unlock at white star levels 3 to 5. Don't spread them out amongst the types - concentrate on one type (e.g. healing drone) so that the bonuses are more maxed out.

- CLEAN UP YOUR FRIENDS LIST. Every week or so, delete friends who have been afk for 3-4 days+. You only need 20 friends as the maximum hearts you can get are from 20 people. So delete old(er) friends from the list, then wait slowly for the invitations to accept them again (there is a lag, so you can't immediately accept new friends after deleting them). As long as you have 20 active friends your hearts intake per day is maxed out.

- In HERO SCREEN, use the LOCK / UNLOCK icon to filter out those heroes you don't want to use genes for recycle or evolving up. I lock those S heroes who have overlapping powers with Mysterious girl. So when it comes to recycling or to evolve, those genes you need are 'locked' and can't be selected.

- I use clothes to sort my heroes for quick recognition of who is compatible with Mysterious Girl (e.g. useful for Endless missions where the weapon type keeps changing):
* Bikini clothes - Sniper artifact compatible
* Pure White clothes - Scythe compatible
* Dark clothes - Sword Katana compatible
* Normal clothes - Not compatible, healers (also seen by + icon) or useless powers

Do share your own tips and feel free to correct others (with proof). THANKS!

not really undocumented, just really obscure. On a hero screen, if you select an already equipped armor, there's a halo icon on the left corner which shows all the end game sets.

here's an example of a manual map tracker that I made. You could make one yourself on Google sheets or Office. It's just a column of numbers with spin buttons. Can also make an additional column with buttons to track how many have been destroyed if you advance a map early.

I just play honestly. I save up genes to evolve the maidens in my group and palace. That's it. Simple as it is, it isn't, because it takes a very long time to save up or roll certain genes in this game.

Armor wise, I use whatever full set that I have. Currently, I have all orange sets without the super S, and small amount of random super S pieces. All at or close to +15. I don't bother with the super expensive special sets, because their completely unrealistic to get. I do the Legion fights everyday and level up the supplementary stats.

Then I just do what stuff that I can do. Do dailies and weeklies and whatever extra stuff that I can do. That's it, that's what I do in this game and as such, the game has remained interesting for me to play.

Side note, what keeps me playing:
I've left that game, came back, left again, but just can't stay away. I found the reason to be that the gameplay loop of this game is really just that fun. So I've decided to just stick with this game now .

Thanks for your contribution. But why do you need a manual tracker, when you can click at the bottom 'PROGRESS' screen, and it shows you the same thing? Also it shows you it automatically (so you won't make any mistakes counting etc)? Thx again

no, the data is pulled From the Report. A tracker does as it says, it keeps track.

I noticed that Expedition scales up with your team power, so you may have to adjust your tactics. E.g. now I'm facing level 260+ people
1st day, levels 1 to 24, zero blessings used, then wait for healing

2nd day, levels 24 to 27 (try to heal your teammates fully before ending rounds)
- 25: Scythe, 2 blessings, x2 A grenades, 1 heal (use heal to prevent someone dying)
- 26: 14 + 4 (revive) blessings, x2 A grenades , 1 heal - 32 blessings left
- 27: 12 blessings, x3 A grenades - 22 blessings left
- 28: 22 blessings, x3 A deadly rays (snipe nearly dead enemies)

I got the x100 S Genes at level 24 hence didn't make it / bother going to 29

I made own Expedition stat table using xls (for stages 22-30).
mb someone will find this stat helpful.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3179251669
- all rounds in stat were passed during one day (without next day healings)
- revives not used
- last line: Average per stage
- negative left: purchased certificates

honestly speaking, I'm not sure wat the point is in posting your own certificates used. Whether you use certificates or not depends on the difficulty of your fight, and is not really stage dependent, just like items. Just because you're using items doesn't mean everyone needs to use items on a lot of stages.

Expedition enemies are based on other players' teams. There is no specific metric. I don't remember, but it may be based on your adventure progress, but that's it. You can't measure it because it's not computer generated.

I do agree @Tetsuri but it's better than nothing, and also at the same time teaches people who didn't know before (like me before I read the steam Expedition guide) possible ways in which to spread their cert blessings.

@z7f WOW you did all that in ONE day without healing. I'd like to see the makeup of your team / god / S equipment etc.
Tetsuri Mar 11, 2024 @ 9:56am
well, that guide pretty much already gives you all the general advice necessary. There's not any more depth to it outside of tweaking your team.

early team (A-sets equip):
DragonK - MyiaScyth - Execut
MagicArr - Sakura - MentalHeal
last games team (S-sets equip):
DragonK - Myia (scyth) - TimeGuard
MagicArr - MentalHeal - ArcaneSchol/Sakura

mostly two teams used: either with Arcane or with second healer.
if the enemy's dragonknight doesnt allow me to use active skills - I take sakura instead of arcane. Main dmg dealers are TG and MA (only SS i have).
dont have S god and use only Pandora, my last fight team CP is ~800.
