[edit]: There are quite some prompts with the "white hand" indicating what certain menu's and buttons do, the same could have been done for the customization restoration (yes I went back into the game and finally found that)... The issue is without a tooltip I can't know what functionality is behind a button or menu.
While you are correct about that I may need to play more, that does not disqualify my OPINION of missing them, also I feel like 33 hours should give an apt overview regardless. Take my opinion with at least the concept of that certain elements may need to be made more clear, if nothing else.
This also applies to the second point. Evidently I missed something, I'm sure I was not the only one to do so.
Last but not least, Seeing as how these are my opinions based on my time with the game I will share those opinions whenever I please, thank you. You can however always point me into the right direction if I indeed missed something.
[edit]: The fact that I indeed do miss stuff means it isn't as clear cut as you might think.
