S-character skills look inferior to A-character skills?
I'm probably missing something but it seems like S-characters I've drawn have comparable or inferior stats on their Skills than A-characters.
I know they can be developed to a higher level, but you can't Dismiss them and get 100% materials back unlike A- B- C- D- characters.
What am I missing? How come they look inferior?

That looks like a question to you.
Can you make an example?

In any case, that trumps everythintg else. Once you evolve beyond silver, A- will not be able to compete.
Imo you are forced to use A- first, and then non-rare S-. So it is not a choice really, unless you put in a lot of $.

According to description, you get 100% back for S- characters beyond 2 gold stars - so exactly the same as with A- B- C- D- characters. I haven`t tried that though.

Example: Shining Girl - base damage top out at 110 skill damage tops out at 210.
Compared to Bloody Spear 154 normal 234 skill.
Or Powerful Blade 165 normal 275 skill.

This looks like a comparison of characters with different roles. Bloody Spear will do 0 damage on a dodged attack, while Shining Girl has strong counter to that. Even then, Shining Girl has an additional passive skill for damage boost, an Elf slot for more damage boosting and will have considerably higher base stats once you level her over 110 (limit for Bloody Spear), including a higher boost from upgraded UAV - most of that raises not just damage, but also HP and defences, alowing for more potential damage output.

I haven`t raised Shining Girl over 1 silver start myself, and i never used Powerful Blade, but i had maxed Bloody Spear and almost never used her in main team. Once i got 6th S- character to gold, i dropped my long favorite Amy, as she was not doing respectful damage anymore, and was dieing so fast that her skill was also not so useful anymore.

Like i posted previously, you are forced to drop A- characters, and perhaps skills of S- characters are adjusted in such a way that they are not too powerful early on, so that A- can still compete.

Hmm seems a bit strange that S characters are not clearly stronger from the start so that we have to basically wait till we can level them more than A characters.
But okay, I guess I'll try that and for now just leave the S on bench.

Consider doing some more comparing before that.
For earlier presented example, compare Bloody Spear with Dragon Knight.
And i think Powerful Blade will deal less damage than Battle Artist.
Same goes for supports.

So it is more about conditions, goals and party composition, as well as availability. Shining Girl seems to be an exception in particular, being focused on things that are not significant in early game, thus looking weak-ish.
