I got Thief Sim on Nintendo Switch.. and I was pleasantly surprised.. what a fantastic game.. But TS2 looks... bad.. I'm not going to sugar coat it. and from the discussions ive seen, the game doesnt even work properly?, i was debating on buying for pc. but im just uncertain and wanted some feedback from people who have several hours gameplay in thief sim 2

It's actually not bad, overall. There's several quality of life fixes compared to the first game, most of which you tend to notice once you get access to more gadgets but a few you'll notice right away. I did encounter a couple of annoying bugs, but nothing that I would consider game breaking or that would make me want to rage-quit.

Without any spoilers, if you found the first one surprisingly enjoyable, I think you will enjoy this one too.

I appreciate the input, i really enjoyed the first one, what an awsome game all around, spare a few minor bugs that were easy enough to deal with, ( like trying to hit the sweet spot to climb the lattice in the back of the butlers' residence, what a pain in the butt) i have noticed most games sequels are trash, they all seem to step away from what made the original game awsome, and add stuff that makes it be lame.
The only bad bug I got multiple times was one where they can see you through walls and floors, other than that is was an ok game but shorter than the first and felt like it had less to do, alot of assets were also recycled from the first without being polished.
They did add contracts which is just hell neighbor with a different ui but I beat the game with ignoring both since I was always steps ahead of what's needed.

the second issue I had was less of a bug and just bad programming but I couldnt mark people through windows, I think even if it was open I still had to go inside to mark.

overall it feels like a dlc for the original game.

sounds exactly like the type of stuff that would make me not buy this game. i appreciate your input
I think the "DLC for the original game" is spot-on. There are a lot of good improvements, and it's definitely still fun. There's just not a lot f content compared to the first game.

yea, and lack of content makes it hard to want to purchase as well, too many game devs are focused on money in rather than quality out, they would do better to charge 10 bucks as a dlc, rather than a smaller sequal as a new game. likely they would get more money as more people would be willing to buy it as an awsome dlc,, rather than a lesser content full game.
it really seems like they went from a stealth game to an "knock out" assassin style game
