stuck at beginning mission - lockpicking

i'm still pretty much at the beginning and just did the mission in 102 where i have to destroy the things. afterwards you have to learn lockpicking. i did that and still it says on the top left that i have to learn it. when i change the area now i'm stuck in the loading screen for an infinite amount of time and nothing happens. when i restart it also loads for an infinite amount of time.
when i start a new game, i have the same problem. am i missing something?

Once you've smashed the stuff and evaded the Police at 102. Go to your skill tree and put the new point you've earned into Lockpicking. Once you've learned lockpicking, go back to the spot at the fence where you marked the tenant at 103. You should get instructions to buy the Lockpick ($70) from the QuickBuy app on your phone.

I have the same problem. After trying to leave the area, the game hangs and I cant play it anymore.
When even such simple tasks fail and crash the whole savegame, it should be really considered to spend more time on bug testing instead of releasing the game as a beta version!

Thank you very much for your help. Unfortunately it does not work. I completed the mission at 102 and escaped the police. I then learned lockpicking and drove to the spot. Unfortunately nothing happens.
At the top left as a mission I still have the task of learning lockpicking, although I have already done this.

Anyway, I've made it now.
I simply bought the lockpicking tool via the app, as you said, and then I received further instructions.
Unfortunately, it was never pointed out that I should buy this.

Strange, you should have been prompted to buy the DIY lockpick via your phone as your next story objective after learning lockpicking - it's meant as a tutorial to inform you that the Quick Buy option is there to begin with.
