Suspicious van, nowhere to be found.

I've been playing for literal (in-game) weeks now, driving through both locations, at dusk, at dawn, at midnight, at noon, on a sunday and on a monday, on a holiday and on a burglar awareness day..

The damned suspicious van is just not spawning..

Does anyone have more info on this achievement?

I've ran into it in a specific spot a couple times now (on multiple runs) - there's a parking spot by I think 114... Wards Villa... in Madison street. Usually it's a white van with a level 2 lock - so you can just break in with your crowbar pretty much whenever. It only has a chance of showing up though, so good luck.

@WolfLink0370 I'm pretty sure I've seen a van there in my first playthrough and opened it, but didn't see any notes,iinstead it had some loot.. I'll keep checking.. Thank you!

in order to find this van. first, you need to be at night time (i suggest you to go to madison st at 20.00) drive around the neighborhood and you will see a van somewhere in parking neatly in the neighborhood parking lot. unlike other usual van, the appearance of this van is that this van has a double door (i hope it is, i play on the low graphic so i assume it is a door)on the side (for me, the double door is on the right side) you still can only access the backdoor but upon opening the van, instead of finding loots or someone being kidnapped, you will only find a not in there and there you have it, the achievements.

note: this van appear randomly and random parking spot and i assume per day, you can only found one van, so if it's not the van you're looking for sleep through the night and onto the other night. just remember that this van will only appear at night time.

I was struggling to get this achievement too and have been resorting to riding around both streets at about 10pm every day but finally got it!

Showed up in this exact spot - white van with a level 2 lock in the spot nearest 114. So stoked to finally get that.

There was loot in there as well though, a samlong tv and a radio and a note saying something like "sorry I couldn't kidnap anyone boss, hope this helps" and the achievement popped up!

Can confirm this spot. I didn't find the van until today and it spawned like 2 times in 6 visits to Madison St.

i spammed a couple weeks or so to find it on my first playthrough, found it naturally really early on in my second on hardcore.

it's just rng, you have to enter the map at night, any time after the moon symbol works fine, and then check all the parking spots.

there isn't always a van, and there's several different types of vans so you may not find the right one at first.

best i can tell, it's always the white van that is parked correctly. I've seen a white van parked diagonally that was just loot. open the back of the right van and read the note inside to get the achievement.

Confirmed. found it on small parking right behind 114. White van parked correctly between lines. I've been spamming late sleep to 20/21 and nothing actually spawned, not a single van and i was checking every single parikng, but than i tried to reenter after leaving to hideout form madison and it spawned instantly. Maybe rng maybe it's the correct way.

PS. it was 12(Parade)/13(Festival) day not sure if that chaned anything

Following the advice here I can all, but grantee that you'll find it if you just visit Madison, check the parking lot behind 114 at night and then just go back home and sleep till the next day a couple times.

It took me 3 days, it was on a sellers day and in the back was some loot and the note, the achievement popped after I read the note.

I cannot confirm, but I'm 99% sure that the way it works is that the game either has pre set days the van will be their or just RNGs it every time you visit Madison during the night. Because its not a dynamic actor in game, it won't drive in off the map if you come in during the day and just sleep in your car and you can't arrive during the day, wait till night and then check. You have to come in at night and if its not their, leave, sleep till the next day and then come back and eventually it will spawn.

Also I see a few people advising checking all the parking lots, I found it at 114, everyone else who mentioned where they found it said it was at 114, 114 is the biggest, richest house and the implication is that this is a kidnapping/blackmail scenario so chances are in universe this is a targeted kidnapping attempt on 114 so I'd honestly just say you can save time and make this easier by just checking the 114 parking lot and then coming back the next night if you don't see it.

I have found 5 times in less than 30 minutes with this method.

I have found it in 3 different spots during the day and at night, so unsure on if its targeted at homes. but its rather easy to get if you speedrun check all the parking lots and leave/return to the map if its not there.

This is what I did to find it:

Go home > Sleep until 22:00 > Go to Madison St > Go to 114 Parking Lot
(T cross, the one further away to the left of the house), no need to go to all parking lots > If no van then repeat everything again

It took me 8 days to get it doing this repeat step

For me it was a white van with a level 2 locker

Inside there was a TV, a Radio and the note about the kidnapping
