(Spoilers?) How do you unlock the other characters?

So I saw a video on YouTube which mentioned that there are two other characters in this game or at least variants of the main girl. One uses guns and the other uses summons? Alas the YouTube video showed no gameplay of them and I cannot find any pictures.

Just curious if anyone has found them and how to unlock them? Judging by the footage of the ending it sounds like you might have to beat the game? But judging by how the YouTube video talks about them, maybe not?

All I know is you switch to them by pressing up and down on the d-pad at some point. Sounds like the game doesn't really TELL you that you unlocked them.

I do believe they exist because the double dash skill says "Black Only". So I assume that's the name of the first character.

Seems like you have to clear all the floors to unlock them

I beat all 9 floors and nothing unlock except new game+ with much harder difficulty.

You have to press down on your directional pad. It will ask you about your other self. There are 2 character to choose from
