Naming stars and planets?
Since the galaxy is the same for everyone, will the first player that goes to a certain random star system be able to name the star and the planets, and for that name to appear in other players game (with the name of the captain/ship that discovered it)?

Have a look at the Kickstarter page for info on naming systems etc

Until we have an in-game logging system, I have made up my own system. I keep a log of the star systems I visit. I named the stars with their type in military phonetic spelling, temp in K, and Roman numerals for the order in which I discovered them. For example, the first "O" class star I explored is named Oscar34850-I, and the ninth black hole I found is BH9745-IX. I skipped the phonetic spelling "Bravo Hotel" for the black holes because I did not have the room on my sheet. So, a better example would be the seventh "G" class star Golf5737-VII. I then name planets by type and order they orbit their star. So, the Earthlike Terrestrial Planet in the third orbit position would be ETP-3. The Ice Giant in the 7th position would be IG-7. I took inspiration from other astronomical naming conventions, and until there is a better way to log what I have seen, it works for me.

Eminently sensible, and basically what humans started doing once we ran out of imaginary beings to name them after. ;)
