stuck after meeting b12

so i have been trying to play stray but when i first meet and talk to b12 it is broken at the end of each dialogue section and i have to hit tab to continue, when he goes to grab the key, nothing will happen and i think that I am suppose to be able to control b12 but cannot.
i can control my cat but that is it. if this is due to using kb&m then that bug needs fixed asap
