How to get Nintendo switch pro controller work? (Macos)

I have Macbook M3 pro with latest macos. Stray recognizes there's a controller in the main menu, but the controller does not work. Only button that works is the home button, that opens Steam menu. How can I get it to work? It works in some other games just fine.

Without the controller main menu has keyboard button hints, with the controller it says A and B button instead. But it nothing happens when i press buttons or move controller sticks.
