Gamers are really toxic
All I've seen in threads today:
1. It's so short, I wanna 100+ AAA adventure
2. 30 dollars is too much for 5 hours!
3. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ streamers, I wanna play too
4. Perfomance is too bad for my 5 year old pc

And only one point was worth to write

PS: Just go and play as a kitty, if you have issues - make a thread, if you dislike this game - don't buy it or get a refund. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is just a waste of time, thats my point
It's not like developers broke their promises or destroyed franchise of your childhood

ok you had me in all those points.
but performance being bad is not toxicity ? its a valid complaint....????
Like I didnt play the game yet so I cant judge or have any feedback on that.
the game requirements are way older than 5 years, if it says so then it should run within reasonable limits with those.

I mean 4 is the reason to complain, because they gave minimal requirements themselves, but other points are not

"Gamers" as a label is meaningless. It can mean anything from bored af rich whale playing in their yacht to toxic sweaty streamer wannabe living under the basement.

The only 2 things you can be certain are: (1) gamers play games and (2) for some reason people keep marketing overpriced low quality RGB crap to them.

People can pay for that trash 50 min game called SIFU but they cannot pay for a 5 hour game....that may actually be good.

Most of the stuttering from what I see is caused by Unreal Engine's DX12 implementation. Just boot up the game with "-d3d11", runs fine on my 3070 at 3440x1440 with maxed settings.

The game also supports PlayStation button prompts (possibly being done through SteamInput), has temporal upscaling enabled by default (So you can lower the screen percentage without affecting the UI, and it appears mostly just as good), and has native ultrawide support (Without mods), which is more than I can say about 99% of Unreal Engine games that Steam forum users defend.

Can definitely say that RGB software, like peripherals and software distribution on Windows, really needs to be standardized and streamlined. It's like the wild west of graphics cards before DirectX and OpenGL became the standard. I just set mine to purple or turn it off entirely, and then forget about it.

i got Sifu for the availaible price of free.99 and got about 10 to 11 hours out of it from doing everything I could in the game that mattered. Only thing i didnt do was get all the collectables that was just filler.

GMG not showing Stray being available for purchase even though they have discount codes for it so I will get it for free.99 instead just like all the streamers

LOL even Temmie made a post getting butthurt about early/short reviews, just to be lambasted right back about her own reviews that are exactly the same. She got unstable, and proceeded to derail her own thread before rage quitting out of it :steamsalty:

It's almost like you shouldn't criticize someone over something you do yourself, especially very recently.

Stray isn't a game though. It's a linear walking simulator where you're prompt to jump.

Is SiFU really only 50mins long? Man, I wanted to play that game ( if and when it does leave exclusive and come to steam )when someone mentioned it not too long about ( don't remember in some game forum or Steam discussion )

Are you running the game in DX11? I thought it was DX12 only. So does it help with eliminating the stutters?

If it's an Unreal Engine game (Which in this case it is), you can force it to use D3D11 using launch parameters. I set that parameter right off the bat because UE4's D3D12 implementation still needs some work.
