im in the Dead End chapter and once i start the chase i can only go in one direction i cant turn i can only go straight and i die almost instantly. i can still jump on to platforms but i cant get to some of them because i cant move anywhere but straight.
I'm assuming you are using keyboard and mouse to play. Your mouse does not work here, but you can still used 'a' 'd' and 's' to go left, right and backwards. Unfortunately this did not help me to get through Dead End.
I resorted to downloading WeMod to modify the game so the zurks do not attack.
Any suggestions on how to fix it? I called the manufacturer of my computer, and the quote they gave me was expensive and they tried to say I didn't need another card. I don't know how to make sure a new card is better than my integrated one, won't interfere with my current hardware and will fix and is compatible with my machine without calling them again. I would prefer to talk to someone who understands gaming as it seemed like the rep did not know what I was talking about. They recommended a new hard drive instead of graphics. Thank you for the help!
Sooooo... here is what I did to understand your problem
I went to the steam store, searched for stray, and scrolled down to system requirements.
Minimum graphics card for the game:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti, 2 GB
OR AMD Radeon R7 360, 2 GB
Nvidia and AMD are the two most widely used graphics cards.
I googled "UHD graphics 630 review"
I selected this site:
https://www.techcenturion.com › intel-uhd-graphics-63
I found this text on that page:
"There is a minor improvement in UHD 630 and you’ll get some extra FPS in most of the games. However, you shouldn’t think of gaming at Full HD as in most of the games you will not even get a playable frame rate. You’ll have to stick with 1366×768 or 1280×720 resolution and change the graphics settings to low in most of the games."
So possibly you could change the graphics settings to low and the game will run. Its very typical that integrated graphics cards - the ones that come with computers - are not good enough to play high end games.
I had this same problem when I started playing games like this.
I went to a computer shop and asked for a better graphics card to be installed in my machine.
Its difficult to find a price on the web, and I don't know what currency you use, but I would expect to pay somewhere in the range of $300-$350 Canadian dollars for a suitable card. If you go to a computer shop and tell them the minimum card you need they should suggest a suitable card to you.
I have moved my card - GeForce GTX 650 Ti, 2 GB - from one desktop PC to another new PC a couple times (not myself, done by computer shop).
I'm thinking that soon I may need a better card.
Hope this helps :)
I don't wan't to restart the chapter because I will lose my inventory.
Any other possibility?
When the cat and Doc start back to the slums, the 'mission' to press a button to use the defluxor comes up on screen, i do nothing and Doc then says 'Wow, its working great but as I thought it will overheat...'
I never have to press anything to make the story progress.
This may be different for you. You will have to try it to find out.
This is my first time launching the game.
Edit: Found out I have to use the mouse to click on the changes. NVM above post.
