Nobody is allowed to talk about gender in 2022 so you won't get a straight answer from the devs. If I had to guess I'd say male because tomcats roam more than females. But it can be female if you want, who cares. Have you ever tried to identify the sex of a cat irl? It's quite hard unless you know what you're looking for lol

Erm, unless it's been castrated you can very easily determine the gender of a cat. Just run your hand over its back once and check the rear end. If you see nuts, it's a boy, otherwise a girl.
