Works just great.
I was surprised how quickly I got used to it, but I must admit I ended up using cheats to get past some of the zurk runs.
The controller handled very well, but since I haven't tried other controllers, I have no comparisons. I only use it for truck- and flight sims otherwise. Still using keyboard / mouse in other games...
Possible issues with Dualsense to consider: no replaceable batteries, you have to charge it through Type-C. No low power warnings, it just abruptly stops working when it runs out. No official drivers as well, so you can struggle trying to use it when without Steam. Not a big deal, but still.
Xbox controller doesn't have this issues, but personally I dislike its layout and I dislike how does it feels in hands in general. Xbox controller was my brothers option, it was his first time playing with a controller, he did fine
So, thats a matter of preference though, both Dualsense and Xbox will do
