Zurks by the elevator

I have been at this for days (poor cat has lost about 100 lives) and cannot get into the elevator. Any tips? I have watched videos, mimicked suggestions like hold the jump key but nothing works..... HELP

I just run around the perimeter two or three times and that usually does the trick.

Use a controller for the zurk sequences. Mouse and keyboard fail at getting the right control when running. Like you, I died quickly and constantly. But I finally figured out that the cat is faster than the zurks, so just run a loop on that section where you can do that near the side of the elevator. Let them chase you. They're too stupid to cut you off. There are a handy set of boards that complete the race track. Just keep the zurks behind you and don't catch up to them either. Once the elevator is down, get the heck into it asap.
