The first Zork encounter is not that hard really. It IS better on a controller but not a must.
Anyway. SPRINT, zig zag the oncoming Zorks and MEOW when jumped. Also pay attention where they are and learn the (straight forward) route. NO Jumping, so don't even think about it until you see the obvious place.
Don't even bother with advicing, buddy, that won't be appreciated anyway. Just toss a turd and move on.
NOT everyone has equal reflexes. People are also patently ignoring the fact that some players are differently abled. Accessibility issues, that's what that phrase means. It matters to devs or it does not. What are we to gather in this instance?
It is also not FUN for people who dislike that segment for any reason -- difficulty, distastefulness of it, it seeming wrong in tone with a 'cat game,' etc. etc. Part of the point about mentioning depression and anxiety, which someone stuck here out of context from earlier, was that more than one person was discussing how they game to raise and/or calm their moods and this game/segment made them more tense or anxious instead.
There is a significant segment of the gaming population who knowingly game to raise serotonin, or dopamine, or whatever...by having fun. People aren't listening on that aspect either.
Repeatedly telling us it's easy and 'just run' isn't helpful.
The market or demographic for this game will include people who like cats. Who wanted a cute non violent game. For players used to 'shooters' or GTA type of games, this is nothing. But you are not the entirety of the gaming community! Just one of the most vocal. And it is NOT like people bought those type of games...which require shooting and fast reflexes...and then complained it requires killing things and fast reflexes.
But again, if this doesn't impact others, there's no reason to reply to dismiss or mock our experiences and or concerns or wishes. Simply put it has nothing to do with others.
it is mostly 'cute cat game' but it have its violent sides.
I really don't see why some here, keep attacking us for our take. There is no need to still be castigating people or judging them for not being the same type of gamer...let alone all this time later. "That's why you read the store page" or "just sprint" -- that is just snarking on or dismissing and -- I'm not sure why people need to jump in and do that.
Did anyone address their concerns specifically at any of the snarky ones? No. We are not talking to other gamers, do there's no need for other gamers to play judge and jury. It's to the devs. If you're not a dev, and you find our concerns annoying or silly...then maybe don't 'concern' yourself with them?? I'm really trying to stay polite, but, we haven't been treated politely by some.
The summer sale would've been a perfect time to update and/or roll out a DLC or fix for this issue. My block list gets longer because people have to jump in just to judge or scold us.
Some people wanted a cute and non-violent game. If you count this as violent (...), then this is not it. It's still amazingly cute though. And worthwhile. You are not going to be scarred for life by this game as some seem to suggest. But you can't make everybody happy. Because before you know it people demand a Doom Eternal pacifist run, with cuddly demons that serve tea and biscuits.
This is what I mean about concerns being mocked. There is NO need. The recommendation of a joystick/controller has also been put forth, so really no need to say that again just for an excuse to wrap around the insult(s.) The last bit also. You've mocked us repeatedly. No need.
I thought if I blocked someone it wouldn't send notifications but it still does.
A joystick isn't practical for everyone, not everyone wants to spend additional money. The game should say so, if it requires one. I don't know if it does or not. But not everyone wants to, can or will. So that's not a real solution, either.
Can people not simply accept that others are different, with different opinions and stop trolling this topic with the same 'advice' over and over...with insults interspersed (which is the actual reason they continue to participate.) You're really only telling on yourselves, that you lack empathy or sensitivity and understanding, at least in this issue, and moreover that you find others' concerns or distress hilarious, and worth mocking for about a year now.
We get it. You don't agree. PLEASE move on. (As I said, this would all die down if people would cease coming in just to troll.)
hahaha :) sorry I missed that :P
And get over the fact that people who do not share your opinion are allowed to speak.
Anyway, I finished this lovely game. I enjoyed every minute of it
I hope we get a sequal. With difficulty settings or even zurk-free for those who want it.
Our advocating for a game we can comfortably play actually has nothing to do with anyone who doesn't need any changes. So I am not sure why anyone had to attack that once, let alone -- as someone pointed out -- "for nearly a year." The simplistic solutions were replied to long ago. Like I said, if some of you are sick of this topic, maybe stop coming in just to troll it. Why not wish others to have as much fun as you keep saying you had, w/this game?
Why act like gate keepers, especially in this way?
