Game would be better without Zurks
Just saying it. The strolling around the city, the jump puzzles... thats fun. The Zorks make ruin one of the most interesting games for me.

good lord the zurks make a fun element of challenge in the game, they are fun! they are not hard to get past at all, I'm shocked anyone could have trouble with them.
if there's no zurks.. what's the point of the game? oh.. and that's also the fun part.. just like youtube videos when a cat was chased by mouses... LOL

im glad the zurks, and sentinels were in the game. they added a layer of challenge that would otherwise not exist.
I'm stuck on the rooftops, with those pipes. I know they're supposed to come aroudn the long way, but they just swarm up and get me. It sucks. Love the game otherwise, though, I find the environmental puzzles satisfying. But those zurks suck rocks.

At least have a cheat console, or a "for dummies" retry mode that dulls their damn teeth.

Ngl, try smoking more copium & then get over it.

They add suspense to the game, it's already walking sim enough, don't need the entire game to be ♥♥♥♥ for brains boring. Having chase event's and puzzles involving surviving them makes it significantly more fun. Cope or don't play the game.

Oh and as a side note, I made my girlfriend who is NOT good at video games, play through stray. She only died twice.. If you're dying to them, you probably shouldn't be touching video games considering how EASILY she was able to solve the puzzles & finish the chase events with them.

You are a very charming person. No thats not sarcastic. Really! We should all be like you. Shine at us with all your greatness!

Most encounters with the Zurks are some kind of environment puzzles. If you dont mean the elevator you have a possibility to lure them in a long way which you can skip with one elegant cat-jump. Dont forget that you have the power of mew at your side. With a mew you can attract them at larger distance which can help lure them around.

Hope you get over the rooftop soon to the again enjoyable part of the game :)

Zurks sucks :D

zurks are just in the first 40% of the game, they're gone after.

What? There's a little in the beginning, and then a ton later on ("Rooftops").

I agree that the game would probably be better without them. When it's incorporated into a puzzle, like when you have to trap them between the gates, it's okay, but just having to run through and shake them off doesn't add anything.

They are mainly just in the first half of the game, once you progress out of the first main area, you don't really deal with them anymore.
I found the sentinels way harder to pass lol

The zurk chases aren't even that bad. I find it silly that some people struggling so much with them
Personally it's not about them being bad, it's about them not being good. They don't fit tonally, they don't really contribute anything to the narrative, and the time spent working on them could have been spent making more Slums-type content which is much better imo.

Obviously some people enjoy the sections, some people don't. But for me they were...just there? It's like Stray wanted some generic action bits, just didn't do much for me.
What do you mean they dont fit tonally? they are a huge part of the bigger picture of the story.

The zurk chases aren't even hard, just the achievements they are tied to.

There are a bunch of robot-eating Zurks right all over the city except one part they don't go into for some reason? Is it the metal door that stops them? They just kinda don't...do much for the plot. They aren't why humans are gone, they aren't why it's a sealed city, they are at most the very localized reason why some robots are in one specific location - personally having it also be related to sentinels would have worked better narratively than Zurks who you get a weapon against, lose it almost immediately, and then they vanish entirely from the plot.

Why lying?

The goal is for the cat to reach the surface, NOT to explode Zurks.
Zurks are absolutely unnecessary to the story, AND to the gameplay.
Developers must add an optional "no-zurks" feature in the game, and everybody will be happy.

Why lying?

They aren't lying, after you escape the Slums, that's the end of the Zurks. xD
They do add a lot to the story, it's the reason why the robots are too scared to try to leave.
Without the Zurks, a lot of the story wouldn't make sense.

Completely disagree. Without Zurks there'd be no point.

It's not 40% though, more like 60-70% before the Zurks stop.

And I still think having sentinels keep robots in the Slums would make for a more coherent story with less plot holes.
