Game length

Is it true the game is only 5 hours long when it was supposed to be in development for 6 years? Is the game actually worth the price or is it just being hyped because you play as a cat?

I clocked a full run-through at 6.7 hours according to Steam. Average seems to be 5, there's a speedrun achievement for 2. Those are the facts as I have them.

As to the game being worth the price - in my opinion no, but for entirely separate reasons from its length. It's way too expensive for what it offers, the writing quality is quite low and the game's narrative only serves to get in the way. For the protagonist being a cat, that hardly seems to be relevant.

Unless your primary concern is playing as a cat, I would personally wait for a discount.

the game is a great 5 hours i loved it, the atmosphere and world are lovely, people being overly negative are just ripping into it because its been so well received

Honestly £20 is probably a bit much for what it is but i loved it anyhow, a good 5hrs is better than a ♥♥♥♥♥ 20 hrs

5 hours if you ignore all the side stuff. You could probably clock in 10 hours if you wanted to do everything.

Go play some ASSassins Creed with 500 hours of grinding. Should be fun enough for you.

i opened eveything (except 1 memory), does almost (at least 1 i've skipped) all sides quest and spend about 5,5h for it.

my guy note i said overly negative, im talking about people whos only bad thing to say is that its short and/or shallow, yes it is short and the gameplay is not what ide call challenging, its selling point is that it pretty, relaxing and FUN.

nowhere did i say anything you said, good for you you didnt like it its impossible for a game to be likeable for everyone, i think its a good game and that the overly negative stuff is mostly just fluff WHICH IT IS, ive read nothing but people complaining about the games length and its just complete troll bait

My play through was almost 8 hours. I tried to explore everywhere I could and talk to every robot I could. There are several little side 'quests' you can do that extend the game past 5 hours. I thought it was very unique and fun. I think lots of people had extremely high expectations and that's why they are so disappointed. Overall I thought it was a very good game and I enjoyed it alot!

A 5 hour experience at this high level of quality, from an indie dev for $20.
It is well worth the price.
