Torch light.. on a cat?
I just started the game and am enjoying it, untill the moment i get the torch light and ask..... why?... cat's can already see in the dark why not a night vision or cat vision mode.

I could tell it may be used for something later in game but kinda ruined the cat experience :(

cats can't see in darkness. They need less light than humans but it is required.

It's for the drone :)

Cats can only see in less lighted places not in darkness.

Well, I can't see in the dark, so I'm glad they added it.

Meow.

Yeah, I was also really disappointed in this. It's not like I want a 100% realistic cat vision as that would be pretty boring since humans have much better daylight vision. But cats see much better at night and it would have been nice if the game could reflect that instead of adding a boring flashlight like every other game.

Yes, they can't see in perfect darkness (ie: no light at all). But there's a big difference between what humans perceive to be darkness and what actually is.

It's not really needed anyway, to be honest - at most I assumed it was there to work well with the use you get later.

Want to be realistic cat vision? Turn the brightness way up and don't use the light.

Done.
You can see in the darkness, B12 can't.

Okay from the top, kids.
First. Cats can not see in darkness. Their eye 6.2 times sensitive to light than human eye, but it anyway requires a bit of light.

Second. If you really want a cat expirience, then you should know that cats FOV is around 200 degrees and they has limited dynamic range to colours, compared to our eye, but great dynamic range for shades of gray. It is very wierd to human perspective what cats actually see.

And third. Drone B-12 seems need source of light for his sensors.

Fine fair enough i was wrong on cats not able to fully see in dark and am not asking to make it fully realistic to the point of FOV, just saying they could done something little unique than slapping on a torch.

But B-12 needing a torch? really? am sure that day and age of robots should easily have night vision and thermal vision all built in as standard... hell... b-12 can materialize things into nothing in that tiny thing surely it can have advance vision to see in dark. :P

You assume alot. Maybe because all of the technology packed into that little robot, they just did not have enough space to add night vision.
